A fairly rough recording, but it's a good song. The first time I used Cubase on a friend's computer with just a basic Soundblaster card. The synth is MIDI generated from notation files.

Sweet Marijuana

We were playing this in Hazy Space but didn't record much in that duo, so this is a solo recording, with MIDI files providing the synth in the backing. This is about the closest to pop that I get. Hey, songs are like children, you've got to love them all, however they turn out!

Will I See Your Face Again?

This song brings the original Parameters back together for one last time. The song has more of a folk ballad structure and feel to it. The piano in the backing is a MIDI file. Thanks to Ian on lead guitar and Steve on drums for their assistance with this, and my brother Terry who helped with the session where we recorded the drums.

Elegy For Bek

This elegy is for Patrick O'Grady, who died suddenly a few days ago. When I was living in Adelaide from 1998 to 2003, I played with Patrick in Beige SA, along with John Sullivan. This is a reworking of the song I wrote a few months ago for Bek Moore. It's been a bad year for losing friends. Anyway, I've rearranged it somewhat, pitching an octave and a third lower, slowing the beat down to 96 bpm, and adding a middle eight. No words as yet.
