With release nr. 11, Luv Shack Records are once again eager to exalt the diversity of their releases, while keeping up the quality.

LUV011 is the split EP of the two up and coming electronic music duos "Manhooker" and "Space Echo". Whilst both projects are still relatively new to the scene, they have equally made a stir with their first releases.

Manhooker consists of the two Berliners by choice Tomasz “Guiddo” Switala and Sebastian “Mavin” Magassouba. Their first release appeared on Ostgut Ton´s sublabel 'Unterton' and their second EP was recently released on german heavy hitters 'Sonar Kollektiv' - a collab with ex New Yorker Snax, featuring a remix by Justus Köhncke.

With 'Pushin & Shovin', Manhooker are once again evoking the spirit of classic soulful house hymns. It's an uplifting mix of 90s organs, filtered arpeggios and thick drums all held together by an acid bassline and Mavin´s shimmering vocals. And not to forget the trumpet solo!

The remix of 'Pushin & Shovin' comes from Brazilian wunderkind ROTCIV (who has already remixed Manhooker on their Unterton release). He strips off the smoothness of the original in favor of a more raw and analogue vibe. Its groove seems like a merger of modern electro and classic house, and although ROTCIV´s trademark stabs and pads are used quite ecstatically on this remix, the song structure remains just as strong as in the original.

On The flipside we have Space Echo, the duo of Viennese producer caTekk and (Luv Shack`s very own) Lee Stevens. Their first ever production as a duo was a remix for none other than Austra on Domino Records.

They're offering two equally powerful cuts on the B-side; 'Soul Power' is nothing short of a club burner. A mighty and continuously building ride of funk organs and disco drums, all with a delightfully modern touch. When the vocal kicks in for the first time, ringing in the break, the audience will surely fall into a frenzy when exposed to it! The disco guitars are just the icing on the cake.

'Soul People' takes a slightly more sensual path. Expect dreamy rhodes, dubbed out percussive organs, an almost reggae worthy bassline, a painfully sweet vocal hook and a sharp rhythm that make this track a perfect choice for every warmup, after-hours and daytime set!

With all its ingredients, LUV011 will provide something for everyone who loves electronic music with soul!

As a forerunner of the ever growing and ever popular Tel Aviv underground music scene, Guy Mantzur delivers his forward thinking debut album. As both a DJ and producer, his musical diversity, straddles electronic genres with ease and showcases his musical worth. He has released music with such heavyweights as Renaissance, Lost & Found and of course Sudbeat, but also on his own Plattenbank Records Imprint, whilst all along holding residency at the World renowned ‘The Cat and The Dog’ nightclub playing alongside the Planets Elite DJs, and touring the Globe himself wowing crowds with his performances.
This album is a landmark moment for Guy Mantzur and for Sudbeat, as this is the first artist album for both parties and once you’ll hear, you’ll understand that this is a collection of musical jewels, and all the while proving Guys meteoric rise through DJ-ing and production is fully deserved. This album delivers such deep yet uplifting masterpieces as ‘Moments Becoming Endless Time’, a beautiful breathtaking vocal gem, oozing of coolness and produced in a timeless manner, and ‘Instagram’ with its warm and deep tinkled melodics, with superb depth of character showing through. The multi layered sounds in ‘How Long Is Now’ deliver aural delight, while the heads down feel of ‘Moon Launch’ mesmerises you with its melancholic subtleties.
Dance floor moodiness comes in the way of the new special edit of ‘All Over Music’ with its dark spellbinding vibe, and the punchy ‘Cumple Sueños’ delivers intense flavours that mystify while delighting, and the persistently offbeat yet still uplifting ‘Necessity’.
Taking things a little harder ‘This Is Mayhem’ is a serious dubbier edged melodic monster counterbalanced by the bass-lines melodic movement. ‘Blackout Station’ is a deep and chunky hypnotic gem meandering through a moody path of haunting pads, while the eerie synth line wobbles around your mind. ‘We Are What We Are’ galvanises a breath taking array of sounds and fuses to deliver a triumphant outcome, while the collaboration with Guy J ‘All In’ is a tranceinducing solid techno champion of integrity.
Bookending the album are two mighty slabs of electronica for the mind rather than the club, with ‘Intro’ a beat-less spacious wonder, while the downtempo ‘Outro’ fuses layers of hypnotic smile inducing sounds over a live drums.
A well rounded and accomplished soundtrack of cutting edge electronica, heralding the forward thinking mindset of Sudbeat and Guy Mantzur that we are sure will be heralded as one of the conquering albums of the year.

We are absolutely thrilled to present Larse’s first EP on SUOL. This man from Dortmund has a long list of fantastic releases to his name, with originals and remixes on great labels such as DFA, Defected and Eskimo, to name just a few, as well as Beatport number ones, a BBC “Essential Tune”, one of the most influential German club music radio shows to date, a gold record, you name it… needless to say we are very proud to welcome this outstanding producer to our little SUOL family.

Larse’s trademark style is eclectic, smooth and soulful yet very danceable, which is just the way we like it here at SUOL, and this EP is no exception.

We kick things off with “Wanna Be Like You” featuring Lisa Shaw on vocals. The touching lyrics combined with Lisa’s beautiful voice perfectly complement the track with its lush harmonic synths and dreamy delays on top of a solid foundation of crisp kicks, hovering hi-hats and drawn out bass notes that will give you goose bumps.
