This work is of a high quality! Perfectly sequenced, clean crisp drums. Nice rich backing sounds to carry it through. The break down is a winner. As a DJ I very rarely allow the music to break down. I find they mostly don't hold the groove or they are just too pompous or too boring to keep the club goers involved. This one is none of that, it is chunky enough to mix through and interesting enough to stand on it's own. I would mix the ever loving shit out of this jam! Outstanding work on this mate!

PuzzleProjectsMusic welcomes Jose Dicaro, an artist who has performed with icons such as Jeff Mills, Henrik Schwarz & Motor City Drum Ensemble at various shows across Europe while dedicating his creative energy to his own music.

Jose's deep love of funk, disco and house music are highly evident throughout his work, paired with his sonic agility and deep knowledge cement his ability to traverse a wide range of production styles. 

‘The Assessment’ (Original mix) utilises a long and enticing piece of dialogue to form its core identity. Around that, Jose builds a mesmerising piano-led arrangement. The piano keys and bass line roll in parallel perfection to one another to create that classic and utterly infectious house feel.

Label head Ben Spalding reunites with the superb Flavio MP for the remix. Following on from their critically acclaimed ‘Mind The Gap’ EP released last year, the pair explore their formidable creative alliance again to utterly devastating effect.

On their potent rework, the pair retain the same dialogue while taking the mood sinister. A gnarly, pounding bassline layered with various effects is added to the arrangement, designed to transport the listener to the dark and deeper side. In typical Spalding style, the track features a totally unexpected switch up, paired with key points where the energy shifts or often builds up into an explosive crescendo, following unorthodox patterns - anything but formulaic or predictable.

Argie's passion for sound engineering stands together with being creative as a musician. After spending hours of experimenting in the studio learning new techniques, he had his first experimental release with EQnation Records. A year later another release, this time for the French label Sensum Digital. Together these experiences led him to explore a deeper understanding of his style.

While releasing and getting booked for first gigs, Argie also spent his hours visiting clubs, festivals and raves in Amsterdam. Bonding with the scene and being inspired by other artists. During club nights he listened to performing artists and met with inspiring and interesting people to share ideas. All of this resulted in giving him a new perspective on his music–he introduced more percussion and deep melodies, creating powerful feelings and connections. 

His performances are live and hybrid, layering deep grooves with percussive rhythms and large soundscapes, to create a mysterious club night vibe. During his live performances he is driven by the crowd's energy, giving him a diverse and creative sound. Argie delivers a music experience to share collectively, where people can feel free and dance with their body, mind and soul.

Argie is dedicated to remaining in the city of Amsterdam, creating and delivering a curative experience. He is intertwined with the community and gives back to the city by connecting.
