I imagined the Borderlands or any valve game thingy, where there's some creator titles and then the title screen.
So I made some soundscape for the creator title and then the music for the title screen.

Made for a school assignment where we get a picture, make a song trying to visualize the art through the music, and then artists and painters gets to draw something based of the music, but don't get to see the original picture.

A biome assignment for school. This time I got Oak woods as biome, and that is the reason for choosing the instruments I did.
Side note, I accidentally "koji kondoed" myself. I have never played Ocharina of time and it was not my intent to make such a similar song as Kokiri forrest.

I took some inspiration from the Celeste OST and tried to imitate a bit of Lena Raines sound, she has recently become one of my favorite videogame music composers :) So of course I had to try to imitate a bit :D If it was a success or not, I don't know, but I'll continue doing it!

The Raine

For this day I got given poliwag/dittos screech from Pokémon.
I turned it into an ostinato and played around with bass notes until I found a progression that fit the adventurous theme I wanted.
After that I was just to slap in some melody that "fit" to the ostinato, and add a cheeky little counter melody to play with it.
Adding some extra instruments to make the loop not too boring, and a small B part for the same reason.

This one is based on the Lavos sfx sample from Chrono trigger

As a complete song I am not pleased and this one will probably go quite soon from my page. :) I think that I could've changed the melody to be more interesting and also have some more fun drums and instruments in there aswell, but oh well. It can't all be good ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Magma Beat

This day was inspired from the Megaman Zero start SFX

I simply took the arpeggio that the sfx is and made it into an ostinato.
I mainly focused on making my own sounds for this one, so everything except the drums (a 606 kit from Battery 4) I made in Massive.
I also added some Raum, ValhallaSupermassive and Replika XT to the chords and ostinato to give it some space.

Build Up

Todays prompt was the battle heal sfx from super mario RPG.


I took the minor 7th chord mostly as inspiration and as the "hook" for the piano and pluck.
I added some synthbrass to act as bass and another synthbass preset for fifth (power) chords.
I also put on some pads to take the actual chords.

Break

Today the prompt and song was based on Lakito's start signal from Mario kart!


I started by choosing a scale since the tip of the day was to choose one that you hadn't used or played that much.
I chose the weird and seldom used Locrian scale.
I did as I usually do when using LSDJ (a gameboy music software emulator thingy)I start by making the song on similar sounds I got access to in the GB emulator.
Making a lead, an Arp and a bassline following the restrictions of Locrian.
After that what's left is the tedious work of copying from your daw to lsdj.
I also decided on choosing a very simple drum comp that makes the scale and lead easier to listen to.

The sfx today was Link's Death song(-ish sound thingy)from Ocarina of Time.

So what's more fitting than a dark little track with choir?

This was inspired by the computer access sound from Pokémon.
I am excited to see what others did with this one, as I am not pleased with my outcome :/ But oh well, the mona lisa was only painted once, and I'm sure every artist has made some bad art every now and then.

This was a really fun thing to work on during the winter and Jingle Jam, sadly it took some time for me to get to a place where I'm pleased enough with it, but here you go :)
