Shin Megami Tensei IV - Battle C3 (SFC/SNES Remix)

A small Remix I threw together of Muffet's boss theme.

Undertale- Spider Dance (Ari3s TWISTER mix)

I decided to put together a soundtrack for the Underfell AU for a possible Mettaton/Mettaton EX boss theme. If you couldn't already tell, it's just Metal Crusher sped up, with a new drumline, and more instruments and uped by a single semitone.

So it took me three tries before I felt like I finally hit the nail on this thing. I incorporated numerous different elements into this final version; the same EarthBound overdriven guitar for the main tune, the second instrument you hear playing the same pattern is the instrument I used for my first and second version. I also had done an 8 bit remix of this song which I included in this track, and might upload if I feel like it. Anyway, enjoy!

My second and final Magalovania remix. I was quite happy with the last so I did this one. Everything is up by two seminotes,which kinda gives it a different feel, y'know? Also yes, the title is a reference to Super Castlevania IV. :P

Pokey Means Some Motherfuckin Business!

I like how I said way back when I released Super Megalovania IV that I wouldn't do another remix of this song. Well, I did. This one's a lot closer to the original version from the infamous EarthBound Halloween Hack; as always using the same overdriven guitar from EarthBound, following closely to the original, but with the addition of the drumline heard from the Undertale version on top of the orignal, and the addition of some instruments from Mother 3 (aka the EarthBound sequel we here in the west never saw an official release for).
I feel like the fact that I had an irresistible urge to do another remix of Megalovania really says something. But what, exactly? That I have an obsession, that's what.
Anyway, while I continue to do original pieces, I'll also keep doing more remixes like this one. I think I'll start taking requests. So, if there's a song from a game you really like just leave a comment on this and I just might do it!

If you couldn't figure it out, the title is a bit of an EarthBound reference. See, for those who don't know, battle themes were often titled "Battle against (the) [Insert Enemy]." I called it Battle in the Past, because I used that weird choir-ish sound that plays while you're in The Past.

So I decided to give another go at making a remix of Pokey Means Business! as a part of the VGM Collection. For those who don't know, Pokey Means Business! is a song from EarthBound, and also my favorite song from that game.
ANOTHER interesting fact that explains the title of this track, in the Japan version of EarthBound, Mother 2, the song was actually called "Cease to Exist!" Or, at least that's what it translates into English as. Hence why I named it as such. That and it just sounds so cool, honestly.

I definitely went for something really rock-n-roll like with this one. But instead I got this? It kinda sounds like something you'd hear in Mother 3, which I guess makes sense, given that I used Mother 3 instruments. (As almost always.)

Just last Thursday I was recruited to help with music for an Undertale fan game in the Swapfell AU. As one could assume, this is for a boss fight, but which one yet, I dunno. I made it, showed it to the lovely people making the game, and it's yet to be decided who it would be for. I figure it could probably work for Sans? I dunno.

Another piece for the Swapfell soundtrack. This one was specifically made for Papyrus' fight, as you can probably tell by the familiar Bonetrousle melody. For the most part, I followed the Megalovania formula for this, and as such it made sense to dub this track Megadeathvania....and also because I'm a sucker for a play on words and names.

So this is the theme for Rainding town, a town that'll be in place of Snowdin in the Swapfell game I'm making music for. It's basically just a slightly slower version of Erik Satie's Gymnopedie No. 1, but it's still really fitting for such a sad town where it always rains.

Ooooo boy. This one took me multiple attempts to nail down, but I did it, and I am p r o u d. Definitely feel like I perfectly executed that final boss vibe.

Swapfell— Beginning of the End (Undertale AU)

So this is basically a really simple remix I did of "Techno Boss," from Toby Fox's EarthBound Halloween Hack. It'll be used for random encounter battles, and it seems fitting for something like that. I didn't change up much from the original, aside from the addition of a few extra instruments.

Another song I made as part of the Swapfell soundtrack! If you couldn't tell by the title and tags, this one is for Asgore. I went for something akin to "Your Sanctuary Guardian" from EarthBound, thus why I gave it the name "Your Ruins Guardian."

Man, I had a fuck ton of fun with this one. The main guitar is absolutely killer in my opinion, and really captures that Genocide Route vibe. At the same time though, it kinda seems to jump in and out of sounding like an Undertale song and not. Either way, I'm proud.

I'll Face Myself (Mother 3 Remix)

Hiya everybody! Sorry for the unannounced hiatus. Had some things to deal with, mostly art block.

For this one, I wanted to capture the retro, 16 bit, SNES sound as best as I could. So I did so by actually making it in the EarthBound music hacking tool, "EBMusEd," which I've used a number of times on the past for ROM hacks. So essentially what you're hearing is a WAV of the SPC data extracted from the game itself. It was complicated, and time consuming, but it was a lot of fun. I might do this more often when it comes to my retro sounding music.

Decided to do this out of boredom, and because I really like this song. Haven't actually played SMT If... yet since there isn't an English translation available at the time of this upload. But I'll for sure look into once there is one! Anyway, enjoy this remix/recomposition of Old Enemy using mostly Pokémon and Mother 3 instruments.

Another song put together using samples from Shin Megami Tensei If. Took a bit of inspiration from Nocturne's Reason battle theme this time around. The title is supposed to translate to "Battle of Philosophy," and god do I hope it actually translate to that.

3D Virtual Rumble

The Fiend battle theme, one of my favorites from the Shin Megami Tensei franchise. But of a history lesson for those who don't know, but this song didn't actually start with SMT III: Nocturne. Instead it actually made its debut in the PlayStation port of the original Shin Megami Tensei.  Took me a couple days to make this arrangement, and if you want you can download the actual MIDI itself in the Reddit post I'll be linking here. If you use this MIDI in any fashion, please do credit me, as it took quite a bit of effort to sequence this thing.

About Me:
SO yeah, I produce mostly video game music, or VGM as I like to refer to it as. Oh yeah, I also do a lot of remixes. I've been doing this music producing thing since late 2011, and boy is it fun. I mostly use a program called Caustic, and sometimes I also use FL Studio. A lot of the instruments I use are often sampled from SNES, NES, and GBA games, and it suits my 16 bit preference of style. A few examples of games I've gotten music samples from would be DOOM, the Final Fantasy games that were on the SNES, EarthBound, Super Mario World, Mother 3, and bunch of others.

Musically I draw inspiration from a lot of sources. In regards to fellow VGM producers, I would say they mostly consist of David Bergeaud (most notably made the music for the original Ratchet and Clank games on the PS2), Toby Fox (y'know, Homestuck, and Undertale), Junichi Masuda (he's made the music for the Pokemon games, and Game Freak Yoshi game that was on the NES), Shoji Meguro (the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series), and Yoko Shimomura (the awesome gal who's made the music for Kingdom Hearts, along with Live a Live and Super Mario RPG). Long list, I know. But hey, you're reading this for a reason, amiright? :^)

I'm totally open for collaboration pretty much whenever. You can shoot me a message here on SoundCloud, but I recommend using the E-Mail, since I'm more likely to see it there. I am also available for hire to produce music for your game, unless I tell you otherwise. Same goes for contacting me for work. HOWEVER, I do have a policy when it comes to being hired. If you're making your game available for free, you don't need to pay me, but if you choose to do so, that's your call. If your game is going to be made commercially, I will require some means of payment. The policy for that is flexible. I can do hourly payment, or by commission. But regardless of means, I'll most likely require a portion of payment down before I can get to work; this is mostly as a sort of security deposit, so that I know you're serious about this.
