The first of a two-part package of exclusive material from the 17th edition in the Watergate CD series is from none other than the duo who commanded the mix, Pan-Pot. Making it even more special is the fact that both tracks are collaborations with two heavy hitting names in the industry from completely different sides of the musical spectrum: Slam and Vincenzo.

On the A side we see Pan-Pot and Slam do a techno burner with 'Conductor'. This shouldn't come as any surprise as both are well known for their heavy peak time club anthems. With driving hi hats, crisp snares and a thumping kick drum, the solid foundation is laid for the craftsmen to build the rest of their masterpiece and it begins with dark, reverb heavy stabs. Slowly a monotonous yet psychedelic tone takes grip and the stabs come again. This time more frequent and building in energy before getting to the break where the white noise grows and the tension builds. With just a few perfect elements it only takes removing a few pieces and then giving them back at the perfect time to instill a massive 'hands in the air' moment.

The flip side offers another vibe which rounds out the EP perfectly. It was in 2007 on the Pan-ORama album that we last saw Vincenzo and Pan-Pot together for 'Faces'. With 'Fiction Inc' we see both artists’ styles shine through. A warm deep sub bass grabs your attention while washes of glittery synths pan the background setting the stage for the lush key work that Vincenzo is synonymous for and the sinister bleeps that scream Pan-Pot. Finally the feature element reveals itself; a mix between dark and uplifting chords that resolve each cycle of the other elements finalizing in a cohesive, driving, emotional ride.

Known for treading the line between forward-thinking sound design and deeply-swung dance music, young gun Jona has been absent from the scene for a couple of years, working on his long-awaited album project. Previous releases for Get Physical, Planet E, Supplement Facts and Leena Music have laid a solid groundwork for Jona's well-received return to the EP format this year. 

Now making his debut for Dessous Recordings, 'Emerge EP' reveals even further developed artistry and refinement within the sound world of Jona. 'Emerge EP' is another glimpse into his unique point of view, incorporating a wide range of influences, all combining to spark some serious dancefloor destruction.

The EP's title track 'Emerge' is a classicist tech house jam, sleek, dark and deep, with tight key chords, wooded percussion and liquified neon melodies that are both familiar and effortlessly fresh. 

'Tomorrow' is a deeper and more melodically delicate expression, with an organic, shifting groove and endless layers of moving melodic colour, whereas Charles Webster's excellent take on 'Tomorrow' reaches more to the darker side of the track.

'Senses' draws on punchy drums and sweeping cosmic pads to fuel its forward momentum, launching into a second half filled to the brim with acid-influenced tech house synths.

Paris heavyweight and Moodmusic friend from the first moment, Jef K teamed up with Sasse at the BlackHead Studios in early 2014 for a series of sessions which lead to files being shipped between Berlin and Paris. The first result 'One' was featured on the Moodmusic WMC compilation on March and was received with great joy from the dj community.

Now we are ready for a full single release of 'Endless', a true house belter. In the recent months 'Endless' has getting some heavy plays from both Jef & Sasse on their nightly adventures, as well as fellow Parisian D'julz and is destined for big things.

Remixes by our Barcelona stalwart Maurice Aymard and French dj legend Jerome Pacman.

Hot off the back from releases on Viva Music and Lost Records, Cera Alba brings his debut release on Troupe Records, the aptly named Redshift Vortex EP.

The lead track 'Dura' delivers a typically robust mix of tough rolling drums and swinging mid range bass alongside vocal stabs which shout through the layers. The track develops with sparkles of sharp snares and crashes, resulting in a track which will make any dance floor stand up and take notice.

The second track on the EP is more subtle but no less explosive. It builds with a rolling tom drum which flows between a unique industrial stab and a haunting vocal. All brought flowingly together with Cera Alba's trade mark percussive style.
