At Last - Ariadne

'Oceans Apart' talks about the situation of being in a relationship and feeling like you grew apart from your partner. Without realising you simply fall out of out of love with the other person and no matter how much you try it never works out. 
Sometimes it is for the best to be "cruel" as in the end you are in fact being "kind".

I wrote this song about a relationship I was in. I was working a lot and simply did not have enough time to see my partner, or the time I had I wanted to be alone which ended up with me feeling like we were 'Oceans Apart'.

I wrote this song for the two most important people in my life. As the oldest daughter, moving away to another country, watching your two brothers grow “over the phone” while missing some of the most important moments in their lives has definitely not been easy.
I don’t think there’s actually enough words for me to describe how difficult that’s been.

Missing basketball and football matches, school shows, graduations while having my little brother ask “When are you coming home again?” Or “Are you going to come back for my birthday?” and knowing the answer is “no”, broke my heart every time.

I wrote this song reminiscing of the times when things were simpler and easier. The times that we were all together in a home built by two of the most loving and caring parents (which I don’t say enough) Times that maybe in the moment we didn’t think would be so important yet now are some of the fondest memories I have.

I hope you love this song as much as I love the two people I wrote it for❤️
