Ariadne's Labyrinth (aka Sharon Subbarao) is a classically trained violinist, pianist and composer. 

After studying classical music as an undergraduate, she spent some years living in squats and being around sound systems and the free party scene, where she developed her deep love for electronic music. She later studied jazz, composition and improvisation as a post graduate, where she also immersed myself in the rhythms and grooves of music from Cuba and Brazil. 

Upon graduating, and after a few years spent freelancing on the UK jazz and Latin scenes, she began to pursue her love for electronica, drawn to the beat structures, textures and sounds that could not be created through instrumental performance alone. She is inspired by an array of classic electronica artists spanning the realms of IDM, techno and ambient styles, as well as music by Phillip Glass. 

She released her debut EP, 'Lost and Founded', in January 2017 on the Detroit Underground imprint. Later that year, she released her first album, 'Twists and Turns' on Touched Music, and followed that up in 2018 with a remix album called 'Twisted Up and Turned Around' featuring remixes from artists including Plaid, D'arcangelo and Boxcutter.

Lost and Founded was re-released in 2021 on CD for the first time on new label, L50, and she self-released her new ‘Ridiom EP’ in December 2021 with support from Arts Council England. She celebrated the release with an EP launch show at Spanners, London, where she performed a brand new and original live set with support from Paul hierophant and Kim Cosmik.
