Ariana Hartunian-Sowa is a saxophonist and performance artist based in the New York-New Jersey area. She is working to fill the gap of female voices in art research and performance. Ariana started music at the age of five and in growing her passion, she immersed herself in the vibrant jazz and arts communities. She regularly leads her band who performs female compositions and Armenian music inspired by her Armenian-Iranian Heritage. Ariana is also an oboist trained in classical and baroque music.
