A portion of this piece was included in the motion picture titled “Merantau” which I had the honors of being a part of the film. It tells the story about a young man living in a small village who is set to follow a tradition of going on a journey to the city. This young man is ready to face the challenges in the city, which will guide him towards becoming a man. His head is filled with ideas bout the city. It’s beautiful lights, vast opportunities and increasing developments, which is hard to find, living in a village. Excitement continues to grow as he counts the days to his departure.

Aria prayogi is an Indonesian composer & sound designer. Some of his notable works are featured in the raid (2011), killers(2014) and the raid 2: berandal (2014).

Started playing music at the age of 8 and continued to study music composition throughout college. Spending his formative years playing the guitar and immersing himself in rock music, he broadened his experience in classical, romantic and contemporary music, influencing him to start composing for movies. His unique way of combining Indonesian tones with modern rhythms can be heard in many of his works. Some of his notable works are featured in the raid (2011), killers(2014) and berandal (2014). Aside from film scoring, he also performs live occasionally and works on other projects such as music producing and teaching.
