Here's a piece of music I wrote for Fear No Music's "The Young Composers Project" 2022-2023

A Fantasy In Blue

Performed by conductor Raúl Gómez-Rojas and the Metropolitan Youth Symphony, "The Steadfast Tin Soldier" follows the story written by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen.

The Steadfast Tin Soldier

Commissioned by Chamber Music NorthWest and premiered by the D'Beri Quartet, "Song of Grief" was inspired by a poem written by the young poet Belen Mendoza Cortes about the true untold story of a muslim woman who lost her entire family except her two children. After grappling with her own grief and anger, she decides to press on, not for herself, but for her son and daughter.

Song Of Grief

Written and premiered in 2023 and performed four times again in 2024, The Crocodile Fantasy tells the story of a crocodile going about his daily life and what it might feel like if all life was simply a game.
This is the third performance of this piece.
