San Francisco-born, Berlin-based artist @chloe-lula has been involved with the electronic music scene for more than a decade. She started producing her first live sets in 2019, when she completed a month-long artist residency with Drew McDowall of Coil. The experience ignited her confidence in composition and allowed her to combine her classical cello training with electronics, melding granular synthesis with acoustic riffs and metallic percussion to create an alloyed brand of droned-out industrial electronica. Many of these jams ended up becoming the tracks on her debut EP with aufnahme + wiedergabe, where she’s been a resident for four years.

In addition to her career as a DJ, she is also a music journalist and a selector for her monthly punk show, ‘No Exit,’ on Refuge Worldwide Radio.

It is a huge pleasure to have Electric Indigo play for our 31st edition of Aria Series. The Austrian DJ, composer and founder of the inclusivity initiative female: pressure is one the most influential European Techno artists acting as a true icon in our scene. Her inspiring career began in Vienna in 1989. Nowadays, having played in 45 countries across Europe, Asia and the Americas, she is internationally known for her multichannel experimental live sets and energetic mixes. Being a regular guest at Berghain, she recently performed at their re-opening night in October. In 2018, ARIA had the honour to host Electric Indigo at our 12-hours takeover at The Cause, London.

Despite the high level of production quality in her work, Irish-born Kerrie is a relative newcomer. Nowadays her calendar’s filling up with gigs from Medellín to her adoptive city of Manchester, but for a long time she honed her skills on the other side of the decks and at the latter’s Eastern Bloc. These formative years have now blossomed into a fully fledged career as head of her own Dark Machine Funk label and as published artist under Don’t Be Afraid and I Love Acid to name a few. Her trademark is hulking, angular cuts and grainy, analog textures of the Blueprint stripe, a label which has fittingly taken her under its wing with her Raw Regimen EP just released in March. Bassiani Podcast 127 is a serpentine, kick-heavy studio mix by the new and exciting talent.

Fresh off the release of his anticipated debut full-length, “Derealization”, issued a few weeks ago on Ego Death, Detroit-based producer Uun clocks in our podcast series to deliver some of his vehemently rugged and dark gospel, and to which effect! With a number of choice releases under his belt for some of the most highly-regarded techno labels out there (MORD, Semantica, Modularz…), Uun is one to indulge in the harsher, choppier side of industrial rhythms, more keen on point-blank bazooka hits than long-distance minimal sniper-ism if he where to choose a side. His RYC mix features the very brain-melting character of his compositions and we’re delighted to count him on board. Innocent souls beware, expect a hail of roaring steel and molten iron all along the way.

Dustmite is a Brooklyn-born, Berlin-based artist and the founder of Supervoid Records. His sound is informed by decades' worth of experience in the scene, from warehouse parties in NYC, DIY midwest raves, to Berlin’s current club landscape. Despite such a storied background, it is not until now that Dustmite releases his unique take on techno via his singular Supervoid Records imprint – a testament to his experience and discerning attitude that set his music and DJ performances apart from the rest.

BIO:
The ever-evolving music interests and love for rhythmic variety brought GOŚCIŃSKA to delve into various styles that she blends in her sets. Melting moody electro with groovy techno; breakbeat with 4x4 rhythms or smashing a techno set spiced up with acid, breaks, punk, D’n’B is what you can expect. Industrial slow-beat, deconstructed club, experimental and ambient music all have a special place in her non-peak time selection as well. 

She’s been hosting a radio show on the London Aaja Music radio under the @szlag_my_pitch_up  project, where she invites prominent electronic music artists for a chat and to show the non-club music selection they never get to play in clubs, all the while promoting promising newcomers.

Working on the program and organization of her brainchild @sfora_art is what she does when not behind the decks. The DIY festival is an intimate summer event in the lake region of Poland, focusing on electronic music, visuals and workshops, giving space of expression to underground artists from various countries. Next edition: 2-4.06.2023.

SSTROM is the project of Hannes Stenström, once part of Swedish band Slagsmålsklubben, and one half of enigmatic techno duo SHXCXCHCXSH(SHX). SSTROM’s output is explicitly immersive, relying on tense immediacy and spontaneity. The subtle 4x4 pulsations frame vivid narratives, rich layers of texture with lush harmonies surfacing from the warm and alien flow.
