Blue hour in Joshua Tree is such a spiritual experience. The feeling of vibing fire-side to music with friends surrounded by the beauty of the vibrant desert as the sky fades to dark and the  stars settle in and illuminate the night sky. The time and place to heal. 

Often we bury our emotions, memories that are painful to surface. But sometimes to move forward in life, we need to let it out, to allow ourselves to feel deeply, to open our hearts. To understand that these experiences have shaped us and led us to where we are today. It’s okay to cry, just let it all out, let yourself heal. I hope this mix can serve as a form of music therapy and bring you peace and solace as making it did for me. Thanks for listening.

Sometimes in life you just need to pause and breathe.  A few deep breaths flowing through your body, in and out like the waves against the coast. 🌊 The ocean is a special place, there’s a certain healing energy the water inspires that words alone can’t do justice. But it’s something you can just feel, being oceanside as the wind carries the ocean air through you. 

So just close your eyes, and let the music take you to that special place. Breaths of Ocean and Oceans of Breath. 

I hope this mix brings you as much therapeutic energy as it did for me!

I had the opportunity to play the opening (and unexpectedly) the closing set for KSHMR's show at the Brooklyn Hangar. I'd never imagined that I'd ever perform in front of such a huge crowd. Truly one of the most surreal experiences.

The Sun Always Rises

Happy New Years! Farewell to 2020. The last year has been crazy. Even the beginning of 2020 feels like a lifetime ago. 2020 was a brutally difficult year for many all over the world. But as hard as it can be at rock bottom, just know that it gets better. Entering 2021, it feels like we’re turning a corner, and we’re coming back stronger. What doesn’t kill us will only make us stronger. We will climb our way back up and into the light.

With “Rise Forever” I wanted to evoke the feeling of resiliency and endurance, of never giving up, of always moving forward (as well as a sequel to my more optimistic and comforting “The Sun Always Rise”) This mix is composed of songs that have helped me get through hard times and I hope that similarly this mix can serve as an inspiration for everyone listening. 

Let the fire inside of you burn bright. Remember to be grateful for what we have and not to take it for granted. Look out for those around you. Share your light and let it shine. Be the change you want to see in this world. Keep fighting for a better tomorrow. We’ll get there, it’s only a matter of time. Stay strong and keep pushing forward. We got this.
