Starting from his upbringing in the European dance music culture (Brooklyn Bounce, Scooter, ATB, Darude, Antiloop) to his immersion in story telling of classical rock (Pink Floyd, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles) to his interest in the beautiful uplifting Trance (Armin Van Buuren, Cosmic Gate, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten) continuing into the heavy hitting sounds of bass music (Excision, Datsik, Delta Heavy, Flux Pavilion) and ending with his fascination of the Techno and Tech-House groovy rhythms, gave Arièz a very broad outlook on the musical world. Today, this translates into sets that are picked apart and infuses together with all the pieces of these music genres that he loves. Including beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks, all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling beat.
A very active member of his local community, Arièz has held multiple residencies in Vancouver with currently being one of the resident Djs in the largest local afterhours Gorg-O-Mish playing all the major events of year. Understanding that it takes a lot more then just being a DJ to help grow the scene, Arièz also dedicates his time to promote and host events for the local community.
