END is the second full length release for Visual Super Product - by Darrel William Herbert.

Sea - The last song written for the record, so of course it goes on first - an exploration of the guilt you experience when facing forces beyond your control.

Doreen - I wrote this song after reading an article about “the worst child in Britain” and wondering what their life would be like, and what it would be like to love someone like that.

You’re a Ghost - Written from the perspective of someone close to me who was in a long term relationship and got “ghosted.” Probably my favorite song on the record as it has a ludicrous Halloween vibe that shouldn’t (doesn’t?) work.

Scratch It Out - Fun rocker - theme is trying to squash the negative thoughts in your head.

Glue - Glue is angry and wants what it wants.

Nice Things - A rocker with something stuck in its craw. Could this be about being in a band? Hmm.

I’m Obsessed With You - Theme is in the title (you’re welcome).

Thermal Vent - I love instrumentals.

Down a Hole - Choppy rocker about our lot in life.

This Thing is Alive - This one means a lot to me and it’s about so many things but the overarching theme is music’s ability to tie together the disparate elements

My band Northwest was just winding down production of our self-titled project, set for release that September. At the same time, my capstone course at Ball State prompted me to begin producing new, original tracks. The project’s focus shifted slightly in terms of the sound, but from the beginning I wanted to focus on completely digital drum programming and relying on only myself for the completion of the prompt (this prompt being a set of recordings, either lasting 30 minutes or consisting of at least four tracks.) 

Over the semester, I proceeded to produce new  tracks that bled over into the first couple months of 2025. Some of these tracks have not been released as of yet, but a selection made it onto this project.

A good portion of the self-directed visual media of the project highlights clothing and materials and the way they intertwine with the sound and general ethos of ‘tramp’ .
