Honestly i love this a lot. I legitimately thought this song was from a beta or unreleased

this song is so good, it feels like if wing fortress had a second act where you have to escape the flying fortress to get on the tornado all while chasing robotnik, it really feels like a chase act, absolute peak!!

Ok, this sounds way better than what sega made, its more...authentic to the setting. Also YES THE TRUMPETS

Everything about this track screams "danger and urgency". While I do enjoy Sonic 2's original music track for Wing Fortress for it's upbeat and triumphant *atmosphere*, it does feel a little bit taunting at times, considering how excruciating the zone can actually be. Pit falls, sharp blades and projectiles galore, is what you'll be met by at Eggman's first (or technically the second, if we count Sky Base) treacherous fleet. This is why this track is incredible. Instead of giving off the feel of Eggman playfully waving triumph in front of Sonic's face, this track has no time to waste. After all, the fleet does fire it's warning shots at the very start of the act. It doesn't stall, instead, it warns Sonic. If he take another two steps forward, things will get ugly. However, Sonic's all about that bravery, isn't he? No egg's too big for him to make into a fine omelette, hence the pure energy the track gives off, as Sonic jumps from the Tornado and straight into danger.

Thanks for letting me use this track for SFU2! It really fits Cargo Zeppelin a LOT!

I've been so incredibly busy these past few months that I haven't had time to do anything for myself! Now that I have finished all of my important projects, I can finally go back to do things I've just been DYING to do. One of which is updating the rest of Reloaded so that it's consistent in quality throughout the entire soundtrack.

While I do love Reloaded, it was created during a time where I was still very new to chiptune, which is why there are songs that are great, and songs that have definitely NOT aged well. My goal is to comb through all the old songs and give them a fresh new coat of paint!

In terms of Flying Battery....I thought version 1 was cute back then????

I suggest an alternative solution to trying to get the rights to use the songs that are currently providing a roadblock in greenlighting the project.

Well, here's a fun mash up. For an SMPS Competition over at the SSRG forums, we had to make a version of the 8-Bit Sonic Spinball's Final Showdown music into a Mega Drive version. I heard it for the first time there, really liked it, and instantly heard this as a possibility.

Of course I had to do it. :> 

A mash up of that tune and Sonic 3's final boss, this was both good fun and a pain in the arse to make. It won the round, though, so enjoy! Take a listen to the others in that round too by registering at the SSRG forums and seeing the SMPS Competition sub-board, as they were all good entries this time.
