DJ Local B - I Follow You [VALOR002]

The Chilean producer Julian Garcia-Reyes under his project JGR, comes back to ODD Pleasures after releasing ‘Silk Android’ in the second ODD Pleasures V.A Compilation released earlier this year. This time the producer and important DJ of the Spanish Indie-Dance scene delivers two powerful tracks driven by bouncy bass lines combined with 80’s influenced spicy beats, his signature acid synths full of psychedelia blended with dark melodies and immersive atmospheres are the main ingredients of this journey to outer space.
The two originals are complemented with two remixes by Radial Gaze and Balam, which bring the originals to a whole new dimension, imprinting their vision and unique re-interpretation to round up this heavy package.
Radial Gaze’s reinvention of “Rocket Trip” imparts his twisted hypnotic flavors to the original, delivering a mind drilling experience. While Balam takes “Acid Trama” to an electrifying trance of latin percussion, wild synths and ghosty vocals.

Mexican producers Colossio and Mijo joined forces to create a new project called "Sierra Madre", who offers a unique blend of techno and indie dance, influenced by the stories of Monterrey and Mexico City. After 7years of hiatus, we're back with our fifth limited vinyl featuring none other than our favourite producers, Mike Parker, Claudio PRC and label boss, Mutecell.

Inspired by an excursion to Iceland, the track opens with a swirling melody that invokes the wonder and magic of the aurora borealis. Distant sounds add to the track’s otherworldly quality, transporting the listener to the land of fire and ice.

Hailing from Sardinia, Claudio’s track immediately captures the listener’s attention with a soft, pulsing beat. Atmospheric, dubby sounds create a tangible drama, but despite the tension within the track, there’s also a sense of reflection and introspection, drawing the listener deeper into their own thoughts and emotions.

Made entirely on analog equipment, the ephemeral track’s hypnotic, menacing sounds create a cinematic sense of foreboding. Mike Parker’s track is a masterful blend of hypnotic rhythms, melodic synths, and eerie atmospheres, which together create a dark, meditative listening experience.

The square was vast and wide, only a handful of people were strolling around in the cold, harsh morning air. The myriad of shops bordering the cobbles were beginning to open; awnings out and signs propped front, right and centre, advertising all manner of trinkets, treasures and memorabilia. Soon the place would be brimming with visitors from near and far, all looking for something unique to bring back home with them - for a piece of this place, a memory of a time well spent. 

After their first split-format EP with Anatolian Weapons and LINJA back in 2021, Russian imprint Serenades are returning for another, and this time its Dolphins and Odopt sharing the wax. Continuing the series' mission to connect artists from different places around the world, the release features two tracks from the project of Benedikt Frey, Markus Woernle & Nadia D'Alò as Dolphins and Grigory Nelyubin & Ivan Maslov as Odopt. Strains of downtempo, leftfield and psychedelia all interweave: there's music for losing yourself and forgetting your worries on the dance floor, and there's also sounds for introspection and deep listening.
