Arkaic aka Sam Shaw was born and raised in Haringay, North London.  He developed his love for Hip-Hop just before moving to Norwich as a teenager.  Here he practiced the craft of lyricism within the confines of his bedroom before attending his first open mic at age 16.   At the age of 18 he started MC Battles at a local Norwich Nightclub before moving on to the Street Battles in London for JumpOff.TV.  In 2007 he won the UK division of the World Rap Championships .  2008 saw the release of his first mixtape with fellow Norwich MC Tleevz.  Arkaic has performed alongside such artists as Sway, Bashy, Ghetto, Skepta, Tinie Tempah, Immortal Technique, Joel Ortiz and Diabolic.  Arkaic is currently working with a production team that goes under the name of “Voiceworks” and is promoting his first house influenced song “Yearnin’ for it All”.
