On Billboard's year-end Hot 100 singles list in 2013, the song reached No. 4 and finished at No. 13. "Wake Me Up" also held the record for the most weeks at No. 1 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (26 weeks), until The Chainsmokers' "Closer," featuring Halsey, broke the record with 27 weeks at No. 1.
