Shifting Sands (disquiet0570)

“Purgatory Song” is based on a voice improvisation, which I recorded years ago for a collaboration with South African musician and visual artist Garth Erasmus, but never used. Later I added some sounds of a prepared piano, as an ironically broken allusion to the romantic “Kunstlied”. Much later I processed these elements together with electronic sounds to create the Purgatory Song.

"The Journey", I produced this piece in Nanostudio 2 on my iPad Mini 6.  The main drums are the 909, and the Taikos are from KAPro Epic drums in Module Pro.  In fact, Module Pro is also the source of the string/choir patch and brass.

Beathawk is where I sourced the Asian instruments from.  The EDM bass is Tonebooster's Lowtone, and the sustained bass is Obsidian.  The Trance lead is also Obsidian.
