Renraku mainstay Dictate has never been one to remain comfortable with his productions, focusing on unusual arrangements and refined sound design, his vision to push his sound into new territories has most recently culminated in the form of his Noclip EP.
 
The title track, Noclip (ft. EMP), sets the scene for Dictate’s vision. Unabashedly raw, yet nuanced. Featuring a heavy synth melody and pounding drums beneath EMPs distorted vocals, the composition results in something that's not quite hip hop nor bass music, but certainly welcome within both contexts.
 
The second selection, Pandora, is Dictate’s first step into the world of Analog bass music. Immediately Blasting the listener with huge lows and dissonant arps, Pandora instantly stands out as a go to festival anthem.
 
In Mitocondrion, Dictate’s unparalleled drum mastery gives new meaning to complexity.  Interwoven with next level bass design and melodic structure, drums get pulled from all directions, surrounding the listener in a final product that narrates a mind bending sonic journey.
 
The final track, titled Cortex, Begins with a richly textured atmosphere and quickly evolves into a twisting and diverse landscape of sonic power; each section more compelling than the last.  With the attention to detail and the exacting nature of this composition, Cortex ends the EP on a high note.

Whoa, another music video! Similar to that of the Peaceful Place music video, this was made as a school project with some friends! I figured it would be the perfect opportunity. This is the first song off of the upcoming album, which is available for preorder now. This song should appear on streaming platforms soon, but is on here and YouTube for now!

In the wake of huge releases on the likes of Bad Taste Recordings and gigs alongside some of the biggest names in bass music, Joe Ford has become a widely recognized force in each genre he touches upon. In terms of Neurohop, he's been a huge supporter… you could even say he helped define the genre when it was first finding its identity. We're grateful to be giving this one away for free. Uplifting funk rhythms collide with that signature amorphous, plasma-like bass which constantly surprises, variation and subtleties lying around every corner. Another stomper from Joe Ford!
