This is about my wife—yeah, the one with the phone that never shuts up,  Notifications hittin’ like texts from a side piece she can’t get enough of.  She out walkin’ blocks after dark, sneakers on like she trainin’ for war,  Detours downtown, side trips to spots nobody’s knockin’ on doors for.  Tuesday evenin’, church lot empty—no choir, no preacher, no light,  She parked under the floodlamp, screen glow brighter than heaven tonight.  I pull up slow, window cracked, “MyLove, who you waitin’ on here?”  She don’t even look, finger swipin’—“Shh, this one’s rare, almost clear.”  I’m sittin’ there stewin’, mind racin’ to places it shouldn’t go roam,  Wonderin’ what kinda creep got her ditchin’ the warmth of our home.  This is about my wife and whatever the heck she chasin’ at night,  Got her sneakin’ past pews for a dude that don’t exist in real life.  Yellin’ “Slow the truck down—he’s slippin’, he’s gone if we fly!”  I’m grippin’ ten-and-two, losin’ trust one pixel at a time.  We cruisin’ main street, I’m tryna talk bills, future, how about our kids,  She barks “Brake hard right now—there’s one poppin’, - don’t ruin this grid!”  Arm out the window like she hailin’ a guy that owes her some bread,  But it’s just empty sidewalk and whatever’s spawnin’ inside her Pokemon head  Her “friends” list deeper than any bar tab I ever ran,  She tradin’ late-night whispers with ghosts only she gives a damn.  I’m salty as heck watchin’ her grind harder for digital dust,  Than she ever grinds on me when the house finally quiet and hushed.  Phone hotter than our arguments, battery dyin’ like my patience,  Jealous of characters that don’t even got faces.  I ain’t sayin’ she cheating — I’m sayin’ she’s checked out,  More loyal to that glow than the vows we spit out.  She catchin’ somethin’ alright, just not with me,  While I’m catchin’ gray hairs wonderin’ when she'll have time for me.  This is about my wife and the nights she ain’t mine no more,  Out huntin’ some dude that don’t walk through our front door.  Yellin’ “One more stop—he’s shiny, he’s leavin’, he’s rare!”  I laugh dark in the driver seat—keep your ghosts, I ain’t sharin’ air.  Yeah… this is about my wife.  Keep catchin’ ‘em, baby.
