Rushing us headlong into a vorticist maelstrom of hard-edged drum stutter and polychromatic synth fragmentation, Sansibar sophomore long-player for Kalahari Oyster Cult - “Sans Musique” - tackles the very essence of post-trancey, breaks-loaded UK blends with unabashed joy to wreak havoc on his path. Throughout seven tracks oozing burnt kerosene and depleted uranium residue merged with a hint of sacred incense, Sansibar deploys his extra-wide vision for the present and future of dance music.

“Scully” attacks pedal to the metal, hi-intensity bass onslaughts and knee-buckling breaks roaring as the groove slings us at bullet-speed into a hot, narrow barrel of floor-focused aggression. 

Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, Sansibar is a non-pareil cosmic traveller - also producer, resident DJ at Kaiku and Post Bar and wave agitator on IDA Radio and EOS Radio - whose genre-unbound sound credentials for the likes of Kalahari Oyster Cult, Natural Sciences, Émotsiya, Darknet, Avoidance et al. have helped establish as one of today’s most intriguing talents in the European scene.

The “Lethal Aid” compilation has been organized directly amongst 14 artists from Ukraine, Georgia, Italy, Greece, Australia, Denmark, Canada, Spain, Germany & the United States as a means to show support and unity for Ukraine and its citizens in the face of Putin’s aggression and ongoing hostilities towards the Ukrainian people. We support the democratic, progressive and free aspirations of the Ukrainian people and their struggle for self-determination.

Cassettes + digital. All proceeds go to the Ukrainian defense fund. A statement of balance & transfer will be shared in the interest of transparency.

Yaleesa Hall is back on his home label Will & Ink with two EPs in quick succession. After releasing his debut album in 2016 this is the first solo output from the Amsterdam based producer on the label. This first EP is entitled Zoe Hayley Laura and features a trio of tracks that melt electro, techno and broken beats in arresting ways. Opening up the EP is Zoe Price, a silky electro track with shooting synths and big downward bass strikes that add real depth. It's a urgent and arresting affair to wake up the floor. Hayley Roach then has much more forceful drums that come in one two punch combinations to the gut. Synths writhe and gurgle up top as pads rise up and down the scale and the whole thing is brilliantly large. Laura Pomeroy then rocks back and forth on its heels, with train track like percussion and malfunctioning machine stabs. It’s a real tussle between different elements and locks you right in as a result. Once again then, the irrepressible Yaleesa Hall leads from the front.
