The work features samples of his mother reciting "dichos" in Spanish interjected into the vernacular use of English/Spanish by the Chicanx family recorded during a holiday gathering in 1997. The piece was featured in the exhibition "Armando Rascon: Latina Postcolonial Photobureau + 7 other media installations" at Blue Star Art Space, San Antonio, Texas in 1998.
