This is the first Drum and Bass experiment of many by Aj Magallanez. 

It combines Classic EDM sequences which use instruments that are originally created as well as using multi-voice synthesizers, as in Trance and Dubstep, throughout the piece. There are polyrhythmic melodies and counter melodies made up by numerous other voices in the composition which is reminiscent of industrial or break beat.

The timbre theme is oscillated between two different midi signals which gives it such a prominent position within the rest of the instruments. This piece is designed to evoke exhilaration, which is appropriate being that the nature of this song is relevant to exposing the world around us. The timbre contributes by defying the harder lead-driven EDM and transitions it over to a more meditative experience.

The guitar was also original improvisation by Aj after being pent up behind the console for a few days. It's expression is coalescent to being freed from confinement.
 
The feature is from Charlie Chaplin's famous last speech in the film, The Great Dictator. 

The voice-over had been re-imagined during the course of mixing this song. The result is a more powerful message within a rush of well-engineered peaks and valleys.

In this combination of Electronic-Instrumental Rock, the listener is invited to discover the poly-rhythmic drive of the remixed version of an older track. 

The piece is an experimental  adventure taking the audience into the solitude of space or the graceful depths of the ocean. Altogether, the music is a celebration of the beauty in nature and the inspiration that Mankind derives from it.

Welcome the BASS and SAUCY timbre!

 Take an adventurous leap into the realm of polyrhythm and slip step. This is a branch of genre that does not exist. Thats okay though, you are a part of its evolution! 

You are welcome to spread this unique blend of styles. The aim of this track is to introspect and participate in some heavy thinking. This track was not completed due to the program crashing and later on being completely lost! Enjoy it! It is the only copy to exist!

This track was born out of hip hop, trance and symphonic band styles.

Falling Star Fire

This was the last track I built from scratch for the year 2013. Hit that heavy bass line- Knock down them walls this comin year homies!

Scary Tiembres

I wrote this song emulating the playfulness of my dog unknowing I would never see him playing again. 

After this, I swore to myself to never take someone or something for granted.

The swells and happy melodies are his mirroring of my spontaneous running around and chasing him. Little did I know in the process of making this tune, he would die. 

In the absence of play and commitment to distilling a representation of freedom through MY music- I was interrupted and called to the vet, where he lay- prepared to be put down. No time for a goodbye or anymore sunset walks to prepare him and I to be separated forever. 
I still carry a deep regret for being so self absorbed in my passion to neglect the loyalty of such a profoundly good friend.

Through this song you will hear the evolution of Patches' voice from playfulness, and trust- to self assured returns of his friend (me) from college that never came until he had trouble breathing due to a tumor in his lung. 
Shortly after we moved him over to DFW, he looked into my eyes with betrayal and wouldn't play any longer. I attribute it to the pain in his hindlegs. Yet. I think it had to do with feeling rejected. I will never know. 
A part of me regrets finishing this song because it emphasizes the time I had left to spend with the boy.

You will hear toward the end of the song, the same root melody (Patches's voice) has evolved into acceptance. The reassurance that his master would return paid off, but now the roles are reversed. He is reassuring his master that they will see each other again. 

The elevated symphony towards the end is heaven calling and the playful, joyful and jovial echo is the eternal vibration of happiness his spirit began to harmonize with near the end. The spontaneousness continues in heaven, where the boy runs wild among the cosmos with his family waiting to play with me again.

The belonging in heaven that truly envelopes you in the last moments is warm like the sounds I created at 7 minutes. As you ascend, true freedom is ignited- illustrated by the sporadic echoing synth. This is the spirit of untethered adventure and true peace. Patches's voice was a wild one.

The reconciliation Patches and I shared was a mere few fleeting moments of his whimpering, my apologies and tears. Then his heart beat to a slow halt.

Then he was free forever.

The super sporadic echoey dance at the end is his spirit reminding me not to take life so seriously and remember to enjoy the moment. Life is too short to not be happy. Let the pain go and let's remember each other for the joy we shared. 

The meaning of life is to play. So go play. Make time to go play. 

We will all pass through this process and enter into the perpetual dance and play of heaven.  Even the low bass at the end, represents in the silence moments where we are alone, contemplating existence, the underlying fabric of reality contains the deep vibration of play.

This song is a dedication to all of you who have in some form, departed from an other.  The spiritual entanglement of love and loyalty continues in another dimension.

This is experimental music emulating the movement within a star and how the system of energy in resemblance to life forms. The chaos and exponential radiation of all forms of matter coursing through the veins of the dense plasma take us into another form of life. A self sustaining system radiating from within the Self. The complexity in this piece converges into a singularity.

The primary objective was this, while maintaining a variety of trance and techno styles. 

What should we expect to experience if a solar flare was about to hit us, careening out of control away from an exploding home world, the Earth?

I think it would be something like this. Then dying incinerating in a glorious fire ball while seeing the sheer mighty-ness of the Universe's Hands...
