Yeah Guys this is the what Im talking about, quality groovy track by Armand and @anotr Im buying this to play here in São Paulo brothers, awesomeeeee and congrats for the Tech House Top 9 right now on Beatport!!!!!!! Massive support by @when-we-dip doing a wicked promo on Primiere into their soundcloud where I heard this tune for the first time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh, a total missed opporutnity by ANOTR ( I assume,cuz the issue I'm hearing doesn't sound like one of avh's habbits)... the BEAUTY and SECRET behind Funk Phenomena wasn't the repetition of the title phrase, that was actually the MASK the song wore to pretend to be simple and basic, the GREATNESS of FP was the super techno style ninja movement of the drum non-loops and other noise elements... you stripped away the best part and left the part we've all been giggling about for 25 years.  Do over.

The next artist stepping up to mix Defected’s coveted In The House series is Melé, a producer whose standout percussive sound and infectious energy behind the decks makes him one of the UK’s most captivating, flourishing DJs. From 13-year-old bedroom DJ growing up in the Wirral to his breakout tribal anthem ‘Ambience’ in 2015, Melé has now fully honed his skills in production and mixing, culminating in two mixes for ‘Defected presents Melé In The House’ and three brand new productions. Two of these original productions are included in this sampler, demonstrating what’s to come from the compilation.

With live percussion from drum warrior Shovell, the cover of ‘Pasilda’ pumps up the track’s unmistakeable rhythms and piano melody (recorded live by prolific record producer Fraser T Smith) with an irresistibly hefty bassline and vocal loops. A long-time highlight of Melé’s sets but until now unreleased, ‘Pasilda’ is an exclusive from the upcoming compilation. The aptly named ‘Brooklyn Bounce’ is Melé’s ode to Danny Tenaglia, a key influence whose sought-after percussive spirit is apparent throughout Melé's work. This sophisticated pumping house cut with plenty of signature layered percussion is the perfect set-up for the anticipated ‘Defected presents Melé In The House’.

Melé & Shovell ‘Pasilda’ (Extended Mix)

Back in 1994, clubland was taken by storm with Armand Van Helden's stuttering drum anthem, "Witch Doktor." A deep and dark tribal bomb which was the drug of choice at the time. Almost 25 years later, techno has become the prevailing genre and one veteran of New York's underground scene, Agent Orange has undertaken the task updating the classic tune to fit into the current techno landscape of today. 

With heavy support already from today's titans like Carl Cox and Adam Beyer, the modern update is expected to be quite large so we are especially honored to host the premiere which is scheduled to hit the online marketplace this coming Friday, December 14th.
