Let's throw coins on Franklin's grave and laugh at the mess we made. I'm thankful for today (I'm thankful for today).

Rittenhouse shade yes, it cools us down. I don't know how I made it across town must have traveled by cloud (I've traveled by cloud).

Red light, green light, don't cross, walk. Lazy urban afternoons, we sit and talk. We sing about the Universe like "how'd it all start?" We recite our favorite poems, discuss our favorite art. 
Tell me your family history and all your deepest fears. Let's take selfies at the park you can give me bunny ears. Take a stroll to the museum, where the walls say please touch. Submit you as a model then hold you in my clutch. See this dog day is now over and we should be getting ready. Heading north bound on the subway, let the car rock steady.

City Summer Love

We need a Renaissance, a resurgence of the arts. 
Said yes we need a Renaissance, everybody play your part.

The word artist is coming dangerously close to being synonymous to puppet. 
Elaborate facades to gain popular attention with crumbs of passion carried in their soul.
I believe in truth, a connection with the audience.
I'm sorry but we're all not as fancy you. 
Did we forget everybody is a creator?
No good and bad only real and fake.
When we create, we must do it for each other to express emotions that we all go through. 
It's time to rise and reclaim the title artist for those of us from the mortal mold. 

Poets, write down life's answers. Painters, paint another picture. Musicians, make sure the beats real steady so the dancers in the room can sway.

Just love & respect to an artist who I felt like I grew up with.

This song holds a special place in my heart. I remember back in September around the 1 year anniversary of Mac's passing, I listened to this song on repeat in solitude. The lyrics, the melodies, the honesty... 

I made this track in September as a tribute but I never set it free which is an anxious habit that I've developed. BUT NOT TODAY! BE FREE.
