Born and raised in Brooklyn NYC singer, rapper, and songwriter Armani Lue took a liking to music at a young age. You can say it was only a matter of time as his mother had a strong love for music and his father is a well known DJ in Jamaica. A young A Lue in middle school at the time would record on his mother’s iPod through the voice memos app while sitting next to the surround sound speaker playing beats off YouTube and that’s how he caught the recording bug. “It kinda went away for a little bit but I was always listening to all kinds of music, like every genre you can think of.” said Armani. Later in his life in high school he stated he would walk the hallways with fellow label member of Jugg Boyz Ent Joseph Majj talking about music while cutting class. “I remember I recorded my first hook for a song in my closet and sent it to Majj and we were so proud of it at the time.” he said while laughing. After graduating high school Joseph Majj would invite Armani to his home studio and the rest is history. He states label members Joseph Majj and Yung SpvZz as his biggest influence to start making music of his own. The singer’s love for R&B runs deep but it doesn’t stop there as he taps into his deep roots in dancehall music as well. Don’t forget Armani can rap with the best of them as well. The artist’s versatility is something he prides himself on every time he records a song.
