My first live set, recorded at El12Club in Chueca (Madrid) on 29th of December 2023.

What a great night! 
I had no idea how many wild requests people will be asking for - or how much some people stare at the guy choosing the music :-) 

But I loved it, what a great experience.

Sorry I missed the first hour of my set, but I guess I was so nervous I forgot to record it all.

Lots of house classics, a few newer pieces and a bit of happy pop at the end...

My live set in Madrid on the day after Valentines Day. I had the opening set - lots of slow pitched disco infused sounds to build up in the first hour. 
More pop and commercial stuff to get people dancing in the second hour.

LIVE at el12club Madrid 15/02/24

Those lovely people at El12Club asked me to grace their decks again - and it happened on the 4th of May, a Saturday with gorgeous sunshine and a busy Madrid centre.
I recorded the first part, the HappyHour slot which finishes at 9pm.

It's a fun mixture of old tracks by Erasure, Kate Bush, Queen, Cerrone and The Aloof thrown in together with new stuff from Dua Lipa, Daddy Squad, METTE and a track from the new Pet Shop Boys album.

HappyHour (live @el12club 4th of May 2024)

A selection of a bit tougher beats in this one. 
I called it future classics, even though it's a mix of a few tracks that have been around for a while and some new stuff, all top favourites of mine. 
Some I would consider already classics like Baldo`s Ride The Night, there is the underrated Club Rave edit of Lime Sensation, a song that is so good you think you have always known it even though it's only 4 years old... Some tracks who are getting there right now like the New World (Flow), a sugar sweet disco sunshine number by Joe Goddard in the Ray Mang remix (an instant classic) and some who should absolutely become classics like the stomping killer track March of the Unforgiven by Man2.0.

Future Classics May 24

If you have never been to Madrid in August, you don't know how hot it gets, night and day. The heat gets absorbed by the buildings and even at night there is a glimmer in the air.

But in return the city offers you three festivals in a row: San Cayetano, San Lorenzo and La Paloma, when all the streets are spruced up by the neighbours, there are colourful bandanas swinging from their balconies and everyone gets out in the streets, from grandmothers to the kids, eating, drinking and celebrating life until the morning hours every night for two weeks.

This is a live recording from the streets of the festival of San Lorenzo in Madrid in front of the forever lovely Oculto Bar.

San Lorenzo 2024 live for Oculto Bar

To end the summer of 2024, I give you an hour of house, nudisco, acid and dark disco thrown together.

In this selection I put tracks together that genuinely make me happy.
 
It´s more slow pitched and less hands in the air. There is definite disco character flowing through it all, but it does get a bit more dark with an edge and trippy elements too.

Things that go Tschaka-Lala

At my last gig, the owner came up to me and said...: "no hits!"

Of course I knew what he meant, but the next day I started to think: what is a hit for me. Don't I always play hits (in some form or another)?

So I decided to record a techno set that it is my "best of", a "hits only" playlist, quickly going into the 140-beats-per-minute-Zone...

if you like techno, there is a high chance, you'll have heard of most of this "no hits" compilation with names like Not a Headliner, Beau Didier, Slam, Bjarki; with classics from Skatman, Outlander or Moby, and newer stuff from Benjamin Fröhlich, Sina XX or Dam Swindle.

Halloween 2024

I couldn't sleep. 
I mean: I REALLY couldn't sleep.
If anybody had real insomnia themselves, they will know how awful it is.
To say this straight away: this has been several weeks back and I'm ok now.

In one of the nights I decided to record some music and see where it goes. I think like most us in moments of weakness, I resorted to the familiar and the things that make me feel secure. That explains why there are lots of old songs or classical music in this as well as some mind-tripping remixes (like the mind-bending James Holden remix of Madonna).

I listened to it after two days and instantly decided to re-record it, because people might get worried. For example there was a very slow pitched D:Ream ¨Things can only can get better¨ that  followed Ella Fitzgerald´s ¨Everything must change¨ and it really sounded like a good-bye to the world.

So here it is: the re-recorded nighttime mix. 
It contains a lot of alternative remixes and uncommercial styles - a lot of it I would have considered un-mixable, but what can I say, I tried my best. 
There are a few build ups and breaks in this... Maybe the result is closer to a nighttime playlist rather than a continuous mix?
