Armen Gondrachyan was born on August 8, 1980, in Yerevan, Armenia, and began singing at a young age. After his family settled in Los Angeles, CA in 1989, with the help and support of his father, beloved singer Hapet, Armenrecorded his first album titled Armen & Nor Seround, in 1995, becoming a new, young, and fresh voice, and quickly gaining success. With his new popularity, he became known and loved by his stage name, Armenchik, and founded Armen Entertainment, in 2004.
Armenchik, quickly became the fastest rising Armenian star, recording eleven albums, and performing sold-out concerts at the Alex Theater in 2003 and 2004 and world renowned venues, such as the Kodak Theater (now Dolby Theater) in 2005 and 2006, the first Armenian artist to perform at the Nokia Theater in 2009 and 2011, 2015 and the Gibson Amphitheater 2007. He has enjoyed performing 300 record-breaking in Russia and Europe. Sold-out concerts all around the world, throughout the United States,  in cities including London, Lebanon, Syria, Sydney, Tibilisi, Dubai, as well as Las Vegas, Boston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Sacramento, and Fresno. With all of his adoration, success and popularity, Armenchik returned home, to Yerevan Armenia, for six record-breaking sold-out concerts at the Karen Demirchyan Complex, each packed with an audience of 15,000 loving fans. In 2013, over 40,000 Armenchik fans gathered at the Republican Stadium of Armenia, for a benefit concert, of which he generously allotted all of the proceeds from the concert to a charity supporting children with Leukemia. With over 100 songs, dear to so many hearts, about love, family values, patriotism, country, parents and children, it’s no wonder that he has become the most viewed Armenian artist on YouTube.
He became the recipient of several awards, including the Parseghyan Records, Best CD of the Year in 2003, the Big Apple Music Awards, award for Best Singer, in 2004, MClub Top Ten Music Video Awards for Best Music Video “Gone-Gone,” in 2005, “Mi Kich” music video in 2006, as well as Best Music Video “Janes,” Best Singer of the Year, and Best World Concert Tour in 2009. He was also the recipient of the HL Radio Station Award for Best Song of the Year “Inchu,” in 2006, the Tashir Music Awards, award for Best Singer of Folk-Pop in 2007, H1 Top 10 Music Awards, for Best Song “Janes,” and 7 Songs Award in 2008, as well as the Yes Magazine Award in 2009, the King Cultural Production award for The King of Armenian Pop and a Special Award, in 2010, and the World Armenian Entertainment award for Most Demanded Artist, in 2014. Microsoft theatre Presented record Breaking performance in 2015. The president of Armenia presented Honored Artist of Republic of Armenia 2015.
