A tribute to my old mentor Henry Roeland Byrd aka Professor Longhair. I was barely tall enough to see the piano keys when I first saw Fess in an old honky tonk bar between New Orleans & Biloxi. 
Weeks of practice and something like 27 takes to capture this recording at Cafe Be At in Tallahassee 1997.
