A novel idea. Everyone brings a live chicken to work on a leash. While you're at your computer they can be getting acquainted. Perhaps form some new friendships, maybe some months later (I don't know the gestation period of fowl) we might hear the pitter patter of tiny little chick feet. Unlikely, unless you have an extremely sensitive microphone nearby hooked up to some loud speakers.
It might get messy and noisy but it would be less boring and at the end of the day, isn't that what life is all about?

Household refuse, council tax, limescale, traffic wardens, pet insurance, things going off in the fridge when they've only been there a short amount of time, feuds over garden hedges, getting the wrong change and not realising it until it's too late, a bulb blowing in the house when you don't have a spare one and the shop closed ten minutes earlier. 

That sort of bollocks.
