Setelah beberapa waktu lalu merilis album terbaru “Silver Painted Radiance” sekaligus memperkenalkan single pertama “Find Who You Are”, masih dari album yang sama, akhirnya Adhitia Sofyan menetapkan lagu berjudul “Starting This Feeling” sebagai single keduanya.

“Lagu ‘Starting This Feeling’ adalah keluar dari awan mendung, turbulance, kesedihan, kegagalan, masa lalu, dan tentang start yang baru.”

Begitulah penuturan singkat Adhitia Sofyan mengenai makna dari single keduanya. Bila dicermati, memang lagu yang satu ini sangat kontras perbedaannya bila dibandingkan dengan warna dan nuansa pada album baru, pun dari album-album sebelumnya.

“Dari awal lagu ini sudah jomplang beda banget dengan lagu saya yang sudah-sudah. Baik akustik secara general maupun lagu-lagu di album ‘Silver Painted Radiance’. Sebetulnya anak-anak (band member) cukup suka lagu ini.”

Satu hal yang membuat lagu ini berbeda namun menarik adalah tidak ada alunan gitar akustik sebagai nuansa pada intro lagu seperti lagu-lagu Adhitia biasanya, melainkan hentakan langsung semua instrumen (gitar, bass, piano, drum) yang dengan sesegera mungkin meningkatkan mood para pendengarnya.

Menurut pengakuan sang “musisi kamar” tersebut, lagu ini merupakan lagu eksperimental versi dirinya sendiri. Memang untuk para pendengar setianya pasti akan menilai lagu ini benar-benar berbeda namun tetap menunjukan jati diri Adhitia Sofyan dengan musik yang nyaman didengar.

“Lagu ini lebih ‘band’ dengan intro unik dibanding lagu-lagu lain. Ada isian piano yang cukup catchy juga.”
