As nothing’s better than some straight bangin’ acid lines to start the new season, we’re thrilled to host a 1H live from @DICA-mkrksm for the 9th episode of our Podcast Series!

Based in Rennes and strongly influenced by the acid vibrations emerging from the other side of the Channel, it’s through Acid UK and flagship labels of this movement that DICA finds the first impulse to create his own music. Quickly surrounded by an analogical arsenal, we find him a few years later with an already perfectly-mastered hard-techno live, ready to make the walls sweat.

Today, his overboosted sound has found its place on labels such as Fluctuat Rec, KTK, Recollection, or even Stay Up Forever… We can already say that the circle is complete.

Groovy rhythms, frenetic 303’s & rolling basslines, it is quite simply a burning podcast that the frenchman gives us the honor to share through this new episode!

For the past several months I have been wanting to craft a mix that accurately reflects the emotional landscape I have been navigating since the pandemic began earlier this year. Globally, we are all mourning - experiencing collective disconnection, loss, pain, in a context that very few born in the past 40 years have ever had to process before. Even if you haven’t been infected by Covid, or lost someone due to it, we have all undoubtedly felt its affects on a deep emotional level, simply due to the disconnection it has created from our communities, families, partners, and friends. I wanted to have a musical journey to reflect back upon, something that would remind me of just how confusing, turbulent, and uncertain this time has been. But also one that would remind me how important patience is during struggle. Patience for ourselves, and others. And with that patience can come clarity, understanding, and hopefully reconnection with the world and those we love and care about 🖤
