Here comes my recording from the Hot Situations event in New York City, US in May 2023.
It was my first time DJing so far away from Germany and I had such a good time. Apart from that, after a week in this amazing city with so many great people and overwhelming impressions - I am more than grateful.

💿 The confused fox 💿

✍️ „Once upon a time there was a slightly confused fox, not quite sure whether he want to be in fact a really nice fox, or rather a brave sheep in the woods.
In his desperation about his identity, the little confused fox fell for the very dangerous intoxicating drug of the pan flute, .. which is very dangerous and intoxicating. 
He even had got himself one, and was playing the poisonous instrument lost in thoughts in the middle of a crowd of innocent humans, .. when suddenly,  a selfless, courageous wolf took notice of the little confused fox.
Brave and selfless, as the wolf was, he threw himself into the poisonous sound waves and freed the little confused fox from its curse and destroyed the poisonous instrument right away.
Everyone was relieved… 
Out of gratitude and relief at the averted catastrophe, ..also known as pandemic, the people began to perform a dance, .. as they had done so many times before at such historic events.
Only the little confused fox did not yet know how lucky he was that the so called “Wolf Gang" was in town at this very very dangerous moment.
It was a very happy day.  ... for all of us.“

🎵 Der heutige KataHaifisch Podcast ist eine eher unkonventionelle musikalische Kreation. WOLVÆSH hat für dieses Set mal wieder alle Register gezogen und Schubladendenken links liegen gelassen. KataHaifisch Podcast 327 - WOLVÆSH

Here is our set from Zugvøgel's sauna floor a.k.a. Garten Uden, a paradisiacal place created with so much love that its magic could withstand the wild weather (well, except for a few pot plants :D). Seriously, we can't thank you enough, dear Mømø, Daniel, Mel & the whole crew, for making all of his happen. Spaces like this one are something we don't take for granted in times when downtempo has become so much about bouncy and not-so-slow. Rarely have we felt so free putting a set together: free from expectations about bpm and danceability, just sharing some old and new faves including tracks we had never really dared to play in front of a crowd before. Yep, it turned out a pretty deep one, yet it feels very really close to our hearts.

What a fantastic Saturday morning we had at Schlupfloch! The sun was out in all its glory, casting a warm glow on everything around. The vibes were absolutely incredible, and I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our friends and guests who joined us for the afterhours, right until the very end. Dieses Set widme ich meiner Freundin und meiner frisch geborenen kleinen Tochter - ohne euch wäre das sowieso alles nie möglich gewesen 🧡

Ach was war das für ein herrliches Wochenende in Begonistan…Die Schufterei über Wochen und Monate hat sich mehr als gelohnt und mündete schlussendlich in einer 200 Minütigen Ode an meine Familie des "Is Mir Schnuppe Festivals". Es ist wirklich schwer in Worte zu fassen was das alles für mich bedeutet…Ich bin einfach überglücklich über dieses tolle Projekt und die schönen Momente die wir miteinander erleben durften🌞

Man darf gespannt sein was noch so alles demnächst im Raumfahrt Begonistan   passieren wird...🚀

P.s. begoni ist ein Wort aus dem manischen und bedeutet so viel ruhig. 🐌

biography:

Arnau Yuna is a sound artist and DJ producer who explores the potential for sound to activate the senses and foster greater forms of connection with others, aiming to create a community atmosphere in the dance floor, giving off energy and happiness. In 2012 he started his career as a DJ, creating with his partner the musical duo Apocapoc, where they started playing in Barcelona house and techouse music.

Influenced by the Catalan electronic scene and Berlin downtempo, Arnau has cultivated his own sound based on slowhouse and the combination of this with other genres, always led by a characterized groove. Hypnotic rhythms, sexy bass lines, psychodelic vocals… all these elements are a fundamental part on his sets.
