The Spanish Underground electronic scene would not be the same without Jotón, a respected DJ and producer who has been dignifying his profession and designing unconventional sounds for more than 20 years. From his studio in the city of León, he has managed to create his own style based on the most orthodox Techno which has been imitated by artists from all over the world. He is also the founder of the label Newrhythmic, with which he has supported national and international artists for more than 2 decades.
Joton is a tireless and prolific creator. His work has been published by labels as important as Fabric, Modularz, Quartz, Odd Even, Symbolism, Planet Rhythm, Raw Raw,
Dynamic Reflection or Skryptöm. Furthermore, his work has been played by artists such as Ben Klock, Dvs1, Rodhad, Dave Clarke, Ben Sims, Oscar Mulero, Surgeon, Truncate or Go Hiyama.
In 2015 he released his first album 'Casting Out Nines', a work that received excellent reviews from the specialized press and conquered Techno lovers. 'Casting Out Nines’ was undoubtedly one of the best albums of that year and moreover, it was presented in 10 countries in 3 different continents.
2017 saw the release of his second major project, 'R3silient', in which Jotón delved into his purest and most analogue side, and thanks to which returned to the roots of Techno. In 2018 he releases two new works, `Antioquia ́ on German label ODD EVEN and `Extreme Mesures ́ on RAW RAW.
Jotón complements his DJ/Producer facet with teaching. His Production Courses are interactive experiences in which the student gets to perfect his technique and shape his sound. His latest album `Hikikomori ́ was born from these courses in 2021. `Hikikomori ́ could be defined as a collaborative work with students and friends that narrates the experience of isolation produced by the pandemic.
Jotón has been a protagonist in the booths of some of the best clubs in the world. Temples such as Under club in Buenos Aires, Tresor in Berlin, Rex club and Le Batofar in Paris, Corsica Studios in London, Grelle Forelle in Vienna, Propaganda in Moscow, Domunne in Tokyo, Vurt in Seoul, Liquid Club Malta, Razzmatazz and Moog in Barcelona, Stardust and Fabrik in Madrid.

Fabrizio Lapiana [Only Vinyl] joins for DifferentSound Podcast #115.

Fabrizio Lapiana is an italian DJ, producer and a founder of Attic Music, based in Rome. He started his career as a Dj back in 1994, influenced mainly by the early 90's sound of Rome and Detroit as well by the first european pioneers of electronic music. In his DJ sets, Fabrizio makes a precise and intimate techno flow that seduces the dancefloor mixing new and old vinyls range from deep, intricate techno, through an acid and groovy darkness with some melodic gems along the way. With his label “Attic Music”, founded in 2008, Fabrizio grow up his sound combining deep aesthetics and techno grooves often allowing ambient or industrial elements. To remember also the strong collaboration with Max_M on his M_Rec 10'' series in 2014, that showed his most emotional view of techno. His performances in Rome as well in some of the finest wordwide clubs are a way to offer his right vibrations in the techno scene in the last years: the energy created by Fabrizio's sets worth living!

Lindsey Wang, the mind behind Polygonia, is a versatile musician and artist based in Munich, Germany. A long time before her electronic music journey began, she explored the realms of several acoustic instruments intensively. This skill combined with studies of various other art forms, inspired the artist to translate her understanding of rhythm, composition and experimentalism into the digital
music language.

Her sound identity is driven by a mystic, deep and organic character which is enriched with acoustic elements built into the genres of deep techno, downtempo and ambient.
Polygonia already released her music on several labels like Lowless, Jazz-o- Tech, On Board Music, Lett Records, Alexandar and more. She expresses herself in various ways through Live- and DJ-Sets. Her audio color palette covers a huge spectrum from calm and harmonic sounds to polyrhythmic dark grooves.

Together with Dycide and MTRL she founded the ambient and deep techno label

Sound researcher in the studio, chaos creator on the dancefloor our next podcast comes from @d-leria aka Giuseppe who started his DJ carrier over 20 years ago in 2001. In the early stages, he was focused on playing Hardcore, achieving international success, and playing at performing at major festival lineups. In 2014 he encountered a new and unfamiliar sound realizing that this was what he had long been desiring. D-Leria was born from this experimentation and started a whole new journey. At first, he began releasing independent EP's that developed the intentions of his very own label called Delirio. Artists such as Stanislav Tolkackev, Simone Giudice, Retina.it, Key Clef, and more were all hosted on several occasions on his label; all there to spread the same message, hard groove on vinyl. In September 2017 he moved to Berlin to find new ideas and to develop his album "Driving to Nowhere" which took him five years but became his most memorable work yet. The sound immediately gained the attention of many artists such as Shifted, Donato Dozzy, Svreca, Neel, Marco Shuttle, Reeko, Psyk, Refracted, and many more. Furthermore, this paved the way for his later recordings on labels such as Avian, Semantica, Non Series, Camera Magmatica, Aura Dinamica, and more which have given him international recognition for D-Leria.

Dirty Epic welcomes aboard @p-e-a-r-l for its thirty third episode of Amplify Series.

Born and raised in Santander, P.E.A.R.L. first witnessed electronic music from late 90s - early 00s sounds which played a fundamental role in his productions. As a teenager, the Spaniard immersed himself within club culture and was immediately drawn to the harsh beats of British techno. 

2006 marks the starting point of his now primary outlet: P.E.A.R.L. releasing his first tracks on Tsunami Records.

In 2012 he moves to Berlin and one year after he founds his own imprint,  Falling Ethics Records, first as an outlet for his own productions and lately opening the doors to other creators like Umwelt or Oscar Mulero.

2017 is going to be a pivotal year on his career, with the release of his first Album, Temptation through Impatience, to be released on his very own Falling Ethics imprint and his addition to PoleGroup.

Recently in 2020-2021, he unleashed a string of hard-hitting tracks and EPs such as Tribal Science on Hector Oaks imprint OAKS or We Will Not All Fall , the first release of his new Falling Ethics sublabel Moral Standards: A subjective look at the current Techno scene with music from artists like Matrixxman, Sunil Sharpe, VCO or Nene H. 

As a performer he is an excellent selector in the dj booth, combining the pulse of pounding grooves in a very eclectic way, always making his sets an unexpected journey.
