Techno

As a huge fan of Disco, Funk, and Soul I have been experimenting a lot recently in terms of re-evaluating some absolute classics through the sphere of hard techno. This is not an attempt at cashing in on already established pieces of music but a means of paying homage to key parts of my own musical inspiration and opening those avenues of inspiration up to a whole new audience.

In this case, I gave the Candi Staton disco anthem "Young Hearts Run Free" a glitched-out dose of heavy industrialism, Enjoy!

Moving on to the next INSVEP release, this time with Introspective's co-founder and graphic designer Cadence, also known as half of HowToReadBinary (HTRB).

An eclectic variety of influences, driven by a precise and singular vision of his own techno allows Cadence to transpose unusual, yet exciting and diversified sonorities throughout his different releases.

Cadence's "Grey Matter" EP brings a touch of blissful melancholy combined with rapid and moving structures, creating a perfect symbiosis between light and darkness.

INSVEP013 also contains a remix done by EREIB, Introspective's youngest resident, bringing an interesting and engaging turn to the second track of the project, "Neurological", in his own methodic and personal way.

Mathame refine their singular sound on ‘Skywalking’ and a collaboration with Tale Of Us, ‘Departure’.
Following 2018’s ‘Nothing Around Us’ single, Mathame show no sign of slowing down. Their Afterlife Recordings follow up is a dancefloor single of epic proportions, taking the duo further into a realm of their own. Tension hangs off the sliding chords and spacious arrangements. In the case of ‘Skywalking’ it reaches an uplifting, euphoric crescendo, in Tale Of Us’ intro edit of ‘Departure’ the theme goes darker and off-kilter. Arnaud Rebotini is a singer, songwriter, producer and remixer, he has become one of the most emblematic figures in electronic music today, adept at straddling genres, both avant-garde and timeless, and bringing them together. 
For example, his Zend Avesta project (Organique, Universal 2000) married electronic music with a chamber orchestra. 
With his analogue synthesisers, he became a central figure on the scene of new international techno, marking renewed enthusiasm for the use of electronic instruments rather than just computers. His live shows have always been unanimously celebrated (Music Components, Citizen 2008, Someone Give Me Religion, K7 - 2010) and his remixes for pour Depeche Mode, David Guetta, Rammstein, The Rapture, Bloc Party, Acid Washed and Tristesse Contemporaine are as indicative of his sets at the biggest clubs and festivals (playing live or mixing) as his collaboration with the highbrow Groupe de Recherches Musicales, especially with Christian Zanési for their Frontières project.
