Breger - Good Night Copper (Original Mix)

Hungarian multitalented one-man sound system MODUL a.k.a. MANGO prepared this two-hour-long ascent dub set for his lace up inna Ozorian Chill Out stage this Summer.
Tune in on 28th May 2014 Wednesday 8pm CET on the Chill channel. 

He has been an active electronic musician since 1995. In 1996 was a founder member of the Minimal Headz group at Radio Tilos, where he spinned detroit techno and underground house in his weekly show called Eat da Beat. Later he started his own radio program the Totoya Club, playing downtempo and underground hip hop, and organized the first on air freestyle competitions in Hungary. He had two more own shows at Tilos Radio, the Törzsvendég playing mainly Jazz and a live act show called Városi Kosz. He made a radio program 60 Hz Drum and bass for Est Fm.
Since 1997he's been playing with Jazz (Budbudas, Skeg, Skoda) and worldmusic (Anima Sound System, Behsodrom) bands as turntablist.

He started producing his own tunes in 1998, first for Subscope Records (Protokol Droidz Kru) and for compliations (Budapest 2000, Future sound of budapest Vol 2) In 1998 He started weekly jam sessions with open mic where he met the future members of his band, the GIMMESHOT CREW. For the next ten years this band had a major influence on Hungarian hip-hop & dancehall live movement, combining live acts, turntables, MCs and classic instruments.

In 2003 he released the debut LP of singer of GIMMESHOT (Sena – First One), being the first release of Gimmishot Records, and toured with live band Dzihan & Kamien as turntablist. Also in 2002 He finished third and in the following year second best of the Hungarian DMC championship.

In 2007 he started for the Hungarian MTV the weekly live show SWUNG, and in 2008 he did his own series for them called BE MY DJ, presenting the different styles and technics of electronic music along with the biggest names of Hungarian underground.

Besides all that, he's been playing percussion instruments in the live jazz-lounge group with a pianist and a double bass player. He also beats the drums in a punk band.

Producer Petar Dundov runs his own ‘Neumatik’ studio in Zagreb where he works as a sound engineer as well as producing his own take on techno, house and electronica. The new album ‘Ideas From The Pond’ is his most accomplished work to date and features beautifully layered techno, hypnotic rhythms and shimmering melodies that make this a real landmark release for the Croatian DJ/producer. 

To Dundov, “techno is music that precedes movement. It is dance music, solid enough to carry emotions through the dance floor and abstract enough to be a template forever”. And indeed his breathtaking productions embody this ethos, serving the inherent function of making your body pulse spontaneously while also challenging your brain with its complex melodies and slow-burning, hypnotic progressions.

Although maybe the word “techno” doesn’t give enough detail about his style, it’s probably the nearest ballpark to whose principles his music adheres – and he is keen to expand the horizons of what people know and expect of the genre. But it’s that sense of his tracks being alive, forever evolving and expanding and increasing in intensity, which gives his music its unique sound and has seen his work crossover into a myriad of different areas of the global electronic music scene. The last three years have seen his mind-bending album “Escapements” take the scene by storm with its intricate, ever-changing melodies.

Taking the listener from the club to a tripped out dreamscape, his new album ‘Ideas From The Pond’ brings musicality back to techno and shows that minimal doesn’t need to be one-dimensional. Driving, thrilling and emotionally charged ‘Ideas From The Pond’ is set to cross the techno/house/trance divide and become one of the essential electronic albums of 2012.
