Feels Good sets off swiftly, merging prominent kick-clap combos with shimmering pulses throughout. It’s a real peak-time number, enhanced by Jem’s touching vocal offering, that showcases the stripped-back and ethereal theme of the single. Patrice Bäumel’s remix soon arrives and brings with it a poignant combination of celestial pads and rolling synth tones, as Jem’s stunning lyrical contributions magnify the track’s moving nature once more. 

Leeds born and now based in Ibiza, Audiojack have been at the forefront of electronic music for over a decade. In recent times the Gruuv-label founders have released their Isolation Tapes series to widespread industry acclaim, using music to provide a way out from the feelings of anxiety caused by lockdown and separation. UK singer-songwriter Jem Cooke is no stranger to Crosstown Rebels. First debuting on the label in 2018 alongside Made By Pete on So Long, it was later that year that Audiojack went on to remix the single. More recently, Jem collaborated with Damian on Into The Sun from his 2020 Flourish LP. A well-established member of the Crosstown Rebels family, Patrice Bäumel is one of Germany’s greatest exponents. Recent productions on Watergate Records and Systematic Recordings continue to showcase the emotive sound with which he’s become best known, whilst his performance at DGTL’s virtual festival last year marked another step in his ever- flourishing career.

@monkeysafari continue their fine run of form with new single 'Universal Love.' 

This newest track comes after the likes of 'Hi & Low' and a remix of Super Flu earlier in the year. Both of those are taken from the esteemed German pair's Body Language Vol. 24 mix which arrives later in 2022. It will offer a superb insight into their sound as both studio wizards and dexterous DJs who span all forms of house music. Famed for their curious melodies and richly designed grooves, the pair put out their 'Love Will Set U Free' album last year and keep on evolving their sound with his latest single. 

'Universal Love' is a feel-good house track that builds with rising piano chords and hip-swinging claps. The smooth drums are warm and inviting, and as the loops build, so do the soulful vocals. The sound of a happy crowd adds another layer of good vibes as this irresistibly uplifting house tune plays out in style.

London Grammar - Hell To The Liars (Kölsch Remix)

Tiger Rose is the moniker of Alice Rose, the surprising and inspiring Danish musical phenomenon who made her debut on Gabriel Ananda's Basmati label in 2011. with the Tiger Rose debut, "Food for Dreams", she firmly planted her flag. As Tiger Rose, Alice works the four-to-the-floor bass drum with enough space around it to make a cinematic playground for her musical imagination. And when she pours it on, she breaks free of the restrictive corset of regular dance music.

Born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, she travelled the world and lived in Berlin, Prague and jetsetted to the US on a regular basis. She settled in Cologne in 2002. The city is one of the capitals of minimal techno and here she met Gabriel Ananda, her long-time collaborator and friend, who encouraged her to start producing electronic dance music. 

Her classical background, with the violin and choir is obvious and her longtime career in indie pop music, makes it exciting just because the angle and approach is slightly different than what you usually hear. Tiger Rose has the potential to inspire Techno and electronic music fans alike. Her sound is deep and dreamy and set out on imaginery journey. 

On remix duties we welcome on board Gabriel Ananda who teamed up with Alice to give the title track a notch in another direction, and also on board is another 'Basmati-affiliated' artist, Rob Hes, who you'll also know from his previous Manual Music releases (also known under his Spetterphat alter ego).

As our catalogue number KM053 appears on the horizon, we are happy to announce that it comes in shape of Keinemusik's own Reznik and his studio-buddy and friend Good Guy Mikesh's first full-fledged EP for the label. Them getting together can result in somewhat variable stylistic outcomes and so this batch of tunes certainly adds some exquisite nuances to the Keinemusik sound- portfolio.
"Human Factor" on A distinctively affirms that Reznik and Mikesh are kids of the 80ies. Effectively it is synth-heaven, layering riffs, melodies and chilly beat patterns on top of each other, building a foundation to be pinnacled by that hook you might not be able to get out of your head for quite a while. So, little trigger warning right there. A strongly crafted tune that balances Pop-sensibilities, educated references, club qualities and that name giving, at all hands needed human factor into a soon-to-be classic.
"It's Not You It's Me" on the flipside insinuates itself in a rather emotive manner, introducing a mantra-like organ motive, switches between stoic and dynamic drum patterns and an all-over organic feel, altogether adding up to what would be one of this season's most sensitive ways to get a floor going (if there was a season after all).
Closing things off is Adam Port's take on "It's Not You It's Me", a remix that breaks the original's dynamic down to a more loop-based club-approved modus operandi, re-shaping the beat with toms and shakers, implementing drones and variations of the organ-hook, upping the ante to meet the requirements of a rather post-peak application.
