The film takes the viewer on a journey into New Jersey, by way of various museums, strange quarries of fluorescent minerals and sites of historico-military interest.
Over the course of these encounters, a desolate portrait emerges from the layering of history, tracking the decline of this sprawling suburb, once the proving ground for Modernity.
