The clown got one over on me
Man, I don’t like getting beat.
But you nursed my broken ego
Got me back on my feet

I called his bluff
But he held justice in his hand
While the sheriff and his minions
Did dirty deeds, for the man

Take me home
Tuck me into bed
Fluff the pillow 
Up under my head, cuz
I don’t take it easy getting shucked like that
And tomorrow yeah, ill be raging back
Whiskey me up to talk me down
Cause I keep washing his clown face off
And he keeps painting back frowns

He wields power over justice 
Likes hurtin folks just for fun. 
He stripped them of their rights
He might as wellav used a gun
                                 
I called his bluff
