01 Mysterium Tremendum

This excerpt from Validation song starts in the bridge and includes some of the final chorus. 
This song is a mantra, hearing myself say this helps me fight my own crippling self doubt and low self esteem. I deeply care what others think of me and yet I so strongly wish to be free from this social anxiety and just be myself. 
Of course this song is also for everyone who wants to be liberated from the prison of approval.
I love you all.

This piece is inspired by the artwork (Title: "daskind") of Melissa, an artist friend -  look at her fascinating <a href="http://www.melissa-wagner.de/">artworks</a> or <a href="https://de-de.facebook.com/MELISSAmalt?filter=3/">there</a>

For the  first part - my reflections: uncertainty, go crazy, be violated, ostracism, loneliness ...

Second part: anger, retaliation, fight for life, to rebel ...   

Third part: stillness

For the second part I use an amazing effect instrument: a sampled Spring Drum (Thunder Drum). A Thunder Drum is made with a spring attached to the skin, so when it is shaken the spring moves and creates a continuous resonance through the body of the instrument. This results in a sound very much like thunder.
