London-based Mike Misiu has had a handful of stellar yet secret releases under his belt, and now this squirrel is finally getting his nut with his RNT debut! The A side launches into a churning and chugging rendition of a Donald Byrd 70’s jazz soul classic, followed by a cheekily infectious treatment of well-loved modern themes, while the flip kicks into high gear with two uptempo soulful stompers.

With his relaxed energy, the Australian András walks in the store on a quiet Saturday. He is pretty late, because he had a good one just a few hours before, playing at De School until the early hours. But all good, he glides through the store, picking out a variety of records of his interest. 

András is the stage name of Andrew Wilson, a Melbourne musician who’s earned acclaim for his unpredictable take on electronica. His soft focused abstractions cut a broad path through underground house, electronics, soundtrack and ambient music. His work is loosely based around drum machine rhythms and soft synthesis; smoothing over nature-machine and industrial-relaxation binaries and enjoying the slippage. His soft, fluent approach is reflected in this mix, which blends new and old music.
