Christian Hornbostel's third LP Liber Tertius serves as a summation of his recent musical tastes. His defining feature is its immense and overwhelming sound design. Texture dominates over structure and rhythm. While definitely not an ambient album, it's easy enough to get lost in what's happening in or around the beats. It's something that anyone who loves electronic music, sound and sound manipulation, can fall in love with; no one's going to care about time signatures or genre conventions.

It's an instance that astonishes, not from Hornbostel's deft production touch but by his restraint, his willingness to indulge in the most beautiful simplicities. As such, it's not representative, but stands as another surprise from a producer long since known for them.

Whereas Hornbostel's previous albums may have had a tendency to come across as a collection of tracks presented as an album rather than a long playing concern that actually flows, Liber Tertius is the opposite. It's an album of impressive scope and intricate detail, and one that proves that this German producer, with three decades into his career, has plenty left to say.

Moog Conspiracy finally reveals his new Album expected for May 2021. We had to wait for 5 years for the follower of Pulse! The new opus named Constant Repetitive Rhythm plunges the listeners in a one hour trip in the universe of techno and neighbouring satellites that have crossed the path of Romain Favre musical taste and creations. The 10 songs are a reflection of Moog Conspiracy's musical journey since the release of Pulse. Taking off in the ambient experimental station, to pass by hypnotic pieces with a lot of space and reverbs to chameleon-like songs like "Palette", "Constant Repetitive Rythm" or "Try harder" featuring the Chicago legend Robert Owens, to 80s inspired wave music in Slave To The Rave . The album peaks with Dark Side of the Light a collaboration written with Theo Komp, that combines high bpm club vibe and song format for moments of extasy.

Barcelona based DJ/producer Bastian Bux has been firing out exemplary releases for labels like Sven Vath’s Cocoon Recordings, Bedrock, MOOD, Suara, Tronic, and a whole host more over the last five years, and on the ‘Outliers’ EP, he cues up a trio of techno heaters for Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s EI8HT imprint.

‘Algon’ is a finely tuned slab of mechanical tech-funk, as vivacious bleepy melodies, floating horns and snappy claps rest over a steadfast beat, whilst ‘Like That’ utilises a choppy vocal sample with loopy synth riffs and clever drops.  Bringing up the rear, ‘Ocho’ teams up wigged out distorted acid bass and resolute modular tones for a raw, deep down and dirty techno jam!

!Organism sign up some fresh talent for their next EP in the form of Cologne born Christian Kliche, who serves up two originals and gets remixed by Rraph.

Kliche is a formally trained drummer, and that really shows in the slick beats he programs. Gig wise he has guested at places like Nature One, Tresor and El Divino Ibiza, and former releases such as his 'Tightrope EP' have hit the top spot of techno charts at places like deejay.de. Now for !Organism he offers two terrific cuts that are sure to be just as big.

Up first, 'Yaorao' is a bleepy bit of multi-layered techno that is urgent and intense. Various bells and sonar blips pan out over corrugated and physical drums and the whole thing races along and cannot fail to take you with it. Massive hi hats, hammering hits and ever more prominent synths all pile on the pressure and never let up.

Polish artist Rraphof labels like Translucent and Gynoid Audio, the latter of which he A&Rs forthen remixes. The Behind the Stage associate strips back all the noise and goes for a deep, subversive remix that is based on a bed of firm kicks and run through with spine tingling synths and chilly hi hat ringlets.

The last masterful original is 'DoT - Trip', another high octane and frazzled, textural techno affair that is quick and essential and makes a big impact as it charges along.

These are three more vital tech weapons from one of the most consistent labels in the game.
