The content in this EP will be remained as forever dubplates, with only a handful of copies up for grabs. The craft that has gone into this EP is mind blowing, the darkest of minimal flows that comes to light in tracks such as Sony, Gaslight and Labyrinth VIP, and cutting edge drum pattern's featured in Decapitator, not to forget the summer chart topper that is Lose My Mind.

Exciting Canterbury-based label Debunked Records are back with a fresh new (did we mention free?) release from the fast-ascending Stoked, who takes great pleasure in delivering a minimal humdinger of a 3-track EP here. Still new to the game, both Debunked and Stoked have set out with a point to prove from the very beginning, and a ready-made mission statement at hand; supply a submerged, gritty take on the drum & bass sound whilst honing in on a unique segment of this thriving pocket of DnB. Here at OTW, we think they’re achieving all of that and then some.

The lead track ‘Martian’, which we’ve premiered for you today, is our personal pick of the bunch, although all 3 tracks are arguable standouts. This title cut is a brilliant ode to those low-slung sonics we adore, retrofitted with eerie, syncopated percussion and background aesthetics; the progression is first class as well - just listen to the input at 1:28 onwards - ridiculous work from the young don. It just fits so well with all the other elements on show.

‘Ferro’ is much more stripped back, but no less dangerous and obnoxious; an essential asset of the minimal sound. Pivoting, choppy breakbeats are initialised at the perfect moments, and a long, droning lead bass leads a full-frontal charge of “meet you front left?” energy. You know them ones! The flip, ‘Ghouls’, goes down a different route, drawing less from a dancefloor-primed angle, and more from a showcase of production know-how - completely off the chain from Stoked.
