It seems that Pasolini was undecided on what type of conclusion the film should have, to the point of having conceived and shot four different endings: the first was a shot of a red flag in the wind with the words "Love You," but it was abandoned by the director because he thought it "too pompous" and "prone to the ethics of psychedelic youth" which he detested. The second showed all the actors in the film, other than the four gentlemen, the director and his troupe perform a wild dance in a room of the villa furnished with red flags, and the scene was filmed with the purpose of using it as a background during the credits, but was discarded because it appeared, in the eyes of Pasolini, chaotic and unsatisfactory. Another final scene, discovered recently and which was only in the initial draft of the script, showed, after the torture's end, the four gentlemen walk out of the house and drawing conclusions about the morality of the whole affair. Finally, keeping the idea of dance as the summation of carnage Pasolini chose to mount the so-called final "Margherita," with the two young soldiers dancing.

If we look for the ideal of language that goes through the philosophical tradition, we immediately find the linguistic paradigm ruled by the logical empire. This one sets the limit between reason and the meaningless silence. Nevertheless, we can't ignore the other logic that hasfissured the monolithic rationality, opening the possibilities of other way of thinking and also thinking the other. Blanchot has been one of the most important exponents of that other reason and has received Kafka's great influence, so bringing his thought to literature perhaps made Blanchot think of the outside.

Analysing the escape trajectories of the rabbits and pheasants that successfully eluded capture, Kane, Fulton and Rosenthal realised that the survivors made a sharp sideways turn away from the predator. ‘In our videos you could see that only the sideways motion was effective at breaking the visual fix’, says Kane. Adding that there is no way that a rabbit or pheasant could usually out run or out manoeuvre super agile goshawks, Kane suggests, ‘Maybe what they are trying to do is counter the sensory abilities of the predator. They are trying to take advantage of the way the predator does its visual guidance to escape’.

One theory says, that there were several mysterious accidents during the construction of the complex that made the inhabitants believe, the site was cursed. The building owner was supposedly forced to stop the construction because of this. 
Another more plausible theory says, that he simply ran out of money. From an architectonic point of view, San Zhi’s architecture, with its modular design and its cantilevered constructions, remains, even compared to today’s standards, innovative.
