AMP DJ Presents Manila Mix Project Competition

Avicii's Silhouettes was a breakout hit last 2012. A few months after, I discovered a track by Rogue. He describes the track as "the exact description of the animated series 'Adventure Time' on Cartoon Network." After realizing the songs can come together, I decided to give Adventure Time added vocals using Silhouettes. You decide on the result. The sound is pure EDM, just enough kick to give you good ear candy. Enjoy.

Adventure Time with Silhouettes (AMP DJ Bootleg Mash-up)

Citing Travis Monsod and Cocoy Puyat as his early influences, Arrjae Puno's (also known as AMP_DJ) interest in electronic dance music was initially shaped in the confines of Bed Manila. In late 2008 after much prodding (and insisting), Brian Cua took him under his wing and taught him the basics of DJing. His formal basic DJing education was completed under the direct tutelage of DJ Mark Nicosia at Looper Beat Academy. Soon thereafter DJing stints poured in, spinning at venues like Encore (formerly Embassy), Member's Only, Manor, Reserve, Opium at Tian Di, Blue Onion, and Tabu (now known as  Bond). He has also done guest DJing stints at venues such as Society Lounge, Prive and Establishment. He has also invaded the fashion landscape as a resident DJ for one season of Fashion Watch produced by Inno Sotto as well as doing show mixes for top designers including OJ Hofer, Philip Rodriguez, Joel Escober and Jun Escario. 

Arrjae is primarily a house DJ and is inclined to soulful vocal house and nu disco/disco.  Currently, his musical style ventures to the wilder side of EDM playing Electro, Tribal and Big Room bangers - this sound fusion he lovingly calls "Tribalectro" (a term credited to Brian Cua as inspiration from one mix compilation he did). Kaskade, Benny Benassi, The Shapeshifters, Roger Sanchez, Michael Gray are just some of the international DJs he considers heroes.  Currently, Arrjae is a  resident DJ at the club where his DJing dreams began - Bed Manila and he wishes to extend his wings playing music that he loves at venues where diverse EDM genres are cultivated and enjoyed.
