Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2010, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Now, a few years in to the game, Skankandbass decides to take on the role of a record label to put together a series of free download singles which aims to further help spread the work of the best unsigned, newcomer artists who deserve more recognition.

Elias Traynor is an experimental music producer from the South West of England whose music can best be described as a fusion of footwork, early 2000's R&B and, most prominently, Drum & Bass. Similarly, Third Degree predominantly dabbles with rough, neuro-funk mid range sounds and clean breakbeats, but he proves his versatility by firing out more melody-driven liquid tracks and even some slower, experimental pieces.

The two producers combine for SNB016, offering 'Contrivance' and 'Warning Signs' which features Charlie Brix - a London born, Bristol based dwelling vocalist specialising in underground music and nominated for DNBA 'Best Vocalist' 2016. Expect to hear a lot more from these producers in 2017!

The Blueprints EP marks the welcome return of the talented Toulouse based producer Redeyes. Comprising of an ambitious nine tracks, Redeyes’ Blueprints EP showcases his exquisite musicianship and ability in the studio throughout each piece of music. In true North Quarter style, he effortlessly breaks down the boundaries between Drum & Bass and Hip Hop, whilst fully maintaining the soulful and heartfelt aesthetic that he is known and revered for.
