we lived in a very small town, where there wasn't much to do.
everybody's favourite place was the lake, people would go there to fish, have a picnic or just hangout with friends.
many years ago when my parents were small children, something bad happened.  only our grandparents generation know what occurred, but they kept the secret between them.
there are only a few people of that generation still alive, now one by one as they pass away they are all taking the secret to their graves.
the only thing they will say is......."don't go down to the lake, after the sun goes down"

Woods For The Trees (I'm Alright Jack)

I found myself scribbling furiously in my little spotty book.  

Messed about with a couple of simple chords and picking patterns and thought I'd grab a quick one-track take to see if it all hung together.

I was quite chuffed - it seemed to fit - got all the way through on one live take too, albeit with plenty of clangers, twangs, tangled fingers, buzzing strings and missed chord changes.  That's pretty darned good going for me.

Every subsequent attempt to improve was, of course, rubbish. 

So here you have before you my flash/bang song writing and recording effort in the raw - no edits no eq.  If it was beer or bread, then over here it would be labelled "artisan" and would command a price premium.

That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
