"Town Down" is concepted as a musical engagement with the geographical situation of Reykjavik and its Downtown built over a hill, that on its natural peak continues with a human, architectural continuance of this shape: Hallgrímskirkja.
The places "down" and "up" in nature have their specific sonic repertoire and connotations, very much dependent on the characteristics and qualities of earth's conditions, most of all gravity's impact on the world's materials. Valleys and peaks tend to gather similar conditioned shapes and substances that account in their sonic specificities for different auras and categories of sound. 
The walk from Hallgrímskirkja to the Sun Voyager, the well known viking ship sculpture at the coast line is, by this piece, accompanied with a composition, that not only changes the mix of recorded walks in some of sound editing's parameters, but that also contains instrumental interventions that appear in a kind of imitating manner of these recordings of "the way down". 
Also it is including talks about seasonal appearances. The season's impact on the sounds of specific places is also part of this piece, not only in these dialogue fragments, but also in the fact that it's turning into winter the closer you walk towards the gathered water mass in Reykjavik's bay area.
